As a Principal Data Scientist on the Enterprise AI team, you will be a senior member of a team of data scientists, AI researchers, software developers, and psychometricians who provide technical and scientific leadership for some of our most important strategic efforts companywide. What You'll Do:
- Lead the design and implementation of technical solutions in alignment with organizational goals.

The pay range for this position is between $162,250 - $190,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Disney Studios is seeking a highly skilled and innovative full-Stack Principal Data Scientist to lead our data science initiatives and drive impactful insights across our studio operations.
As a Principal Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in leveraging data to enhance decision making, optimize processes, and uncover opportunities for growth. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven strategies that align with our mission to create world-class content and entertainment experiences.

Develop novel AI/ML solutions to further the companys mission of creating innovative and engaging content
Architect efficient data models and high-quality production pipelines and partner with Engineering for all necessary telemetry
Design, build, and deploy predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and statistical analyses to address complex business challenges.
Identify trends, patterns, and insights from large datasets to inform decision-making.
Work end to end from data collection, feature generation and selection, algorithm development, forecasting, visualization and communicating of model results
Think creatively to solve complex problems
Monitor and maintain the performance of ML models
Research and stay up-to-date on the latest AI/ML trends and technologies
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers
Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure the quality and accessibility of data
Communicate insights and best practices in leadership

MS/Ph.D. in quantitative discipline

10 plus years of experience in data science, with a proven track record of leading and delivering successful projects

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala

How can you make an impact?
As a Principal Data Scientist on the Enterprise AI team, you will be a senior member of a team of data scientists, AI researchers, software developers, and psychometricians who provide technical and scientific leadership for some of our most important strategic efforts companywide. You will help this team deliver cutting-edge data science and/or Artificial Intelligence (DS/AI) solutions, and you will collaborate closely with colleagues across functions like Product, Engineering, Learning Design, and User Experience to help McGraw Hill create and deliver world-class educational experiences. This role requires a deep understanding of large language model (LLM) principles and hands-on experience with generative AI frameworks, such as Lang Chain and Llama Index. A passion for education and staying current on advancements in generative AI is essential.
This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.
What You'll Do:

Lead the design and implementation of technical solutions in alignment with organizational goals.

Define projects for the team, and maintain an overview of different projects and timelines.

Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify data science needs, define project requirements, and ensure data science and psychometric initiatives are aligned with business objectives.

Present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.

Apply DS/AI knowledge to independently define and resolve complex problems, including when there is limited information or precedent.

Develop scalable and efficient production-level code using tools such as Python.
What You Bring:

Ph.D. or equivalent in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field

2–5 years of experience as Principal Data Scientist or 6–10 years as Sr. Data Scientist

Recognized expertise in at least one area of DS/AI through academic and industry work
-
Demonstrated technical leadership, including the ability to independently define, lead, and successfully complete projects

Clear communication and effective collaboration that drives business results
-
Deep knowledge and practical experience with production-scale DS/AI systems
-
Recent focus on generative AI, including hands-on experience with applying LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex)

Understanding of complex GenAI architectures and experience with guarding, scaling, monitoring, and maintaining these systems

Experience supporting DS/AI systems across stages of the Machine Learning Operations/LLM Operations lifecycle at enterprise scale

The pay range for this position is between $162,250 - $190,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Compute team is seeking a passionate, experienced Principal Data Scientist to tackle complex technical challenges of the Compute and AI Infrastructure, building sophisticated analytical and optimization system to drive infrastructure optimization and efficiency improvements through data analysis, AI/ML/DL modeling and data visualization. As OCI continues to scale to the demand of an ever-growing customer base and regions, we need hands-on scientists who can lead data-driven initiatives to ensure OCI continues to provide an outstanding customer experience while continuously improving the efficiency of OCI Compute and AI Infrastructure. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in the face of ambiguity and can quickly distill abstract ideas into concrete solutions and has a proven track record of delivering business intelligence and reporting solutions across a highly complex environment involving multiple organizations, departments and teams.

Responsibilities:
The Principal Data Scientist will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines that support statistical analyses and machine learning model testing, and deployment, forecasting model for infrastructure maintenance and lead business intelligence initiatives that impact both product and business for OCI. In addition, this specific role requires a passion for solving high-impact problems and the ability to jump into any in-flight project and get it on the rails.
