Job Summary:
Ruggable seeks an experienced, self-motivated Principal Textile Designer (contractor) to join its Textile Design Team. This role needs a creative and highly detail-oriented individual who is excellent at time management, fluent in Photoshop, and has a passion for rugs/interior design. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Adobe Photoshop, familiar with Illustrator, show strong drawing and fine art skills, and be excited about textile design and staying on top of home décor trends.

- Create up-to-date textile designs that are relevant and trend-setting while upholding the aesthetic of the Ruggable brand

**Basic Job Requirements**

+ Advanced knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national codes and standards

- Tackle complex interaction challenges with enthusiasm, visualizing and communicating ideas through sketches, storyboards, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, or animations.
- A strong portfolio showcasing innovative and user-centered design solutions.

Must-Haves:
- A related degree or 8+ years of experience in product design.
- Strong visual and interaction design skills across web and mobile platforms.
- Proficiency with tools like Figma and Origami, with a sharp eye for craft and detail.
- A track record of fostering inclusive, empowering environments that drive innovation.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and project management abilities.
- Confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levelsfrom ICs to executives.
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to bring clarity to complex challenges.

What youll do
- Youll partner closely with cross-functional teams to translate emerging technologies into real, scalable product experiences that inspire creativity and help users succeed. You will play a critical role in shaping product vision, exploring new workflows, and raising the quality bar across surfaces. Youll influence and inspire teams through clarity, vision, and deep design expertise.
- Design intuitive workflows that blend AI-powered automation with human creativity and control
- Prototype future-forward experiences that help teams align around bold ideas and direction
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and research partners to bring concepts to life
- Advocate for design strategy and clarity with executive stakeholders
- Champion simplicity, usability, and polish across every touchpoint of the Express editor
- Mentor and inspire other designers, contributing to a collaborative and forward-thinking team culture
- 8+ years designing intuitive, high-impact products across web and mobile platforms
- Experience shaping and delivering large-scale, user-centered product experiences
- Deep interest in AI and how it transforms creativity, productivity, and user behavior
- Strong storytelling and communication skills to align and inspire cross-functional teams
- Comfort navigating ambiguity, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving product vision
- A strong eye for detail and dedication to craft, simplicity, and cohesion
- Experience designing accessible and inclusive interfaces for people with disabilities.

Adobe Design is looking visionary Principal Designer to join our Document Cloud team working on extending Adobe Acrobat features and functionalities across a multitude of surfaces and partnerships. As well as infusing key functionality from Adobe Express into Acrobat to democratize beautiful designs for the everyday knowledge worker, solopreneaur, and individual around the world.

In this role, you will:
- Visionary Design Leadership: Craft high-quality, expert-level concepts for the future of document workflows, powered by generative AI, and persuasively advocate for strategic pivots to achieve this vision.
- Strategic Innovation: Develop and drive long-term strategies, proactively identifying uncharted business opportunities and aligning them with user needs.
- Rapid Prototyping: Visualize and prototype ideas through sketches, storyboards, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes to push the boundaries of whats possible.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate design sprints and collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, and designers across Adobes product lines to deliver cohesive experiences.
- User Advocacy: Use customer feedback, research, and data analytics to uncover insights and inform design decisions that delight users and solve complex problems.
- Executive Communication: Present design strategies and concepts to senior executives, leveraging storytelling and data to inspire alignment and action.
Must-have:
- Experience: A related degree or 8+ years of equivalent experience in product design, with a proven track record of success.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency with understanding AI capabilities, Figma and other AI prototyping software, and a skilled visual designer able to not only follow brand guidelines but uplevel them.
- Leadership Skills: Experience mentoring and fostering an inclusive environment that empowers designers to innovate and deliver impactful work.
- Communication Excellence: Confidence in presenting work at all organizational levels, including the CEO, and navigating ambiguity with clarity and purpose.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify new business opportunities, advocate for changes in roadmaps, and bridge design and business objectives.
- Collaboration: A history of working closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and research, to bring ideas to life.
- Deep experience working with generative AI technologies or document-related tools.
