PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Performs advanced engineering problem solving in support of power plants. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses superior knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has excellent knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Provides in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering activities related to plant safety, reliability, maintainability, and availability ensuring compliance to customer's needs, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies
• Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications.
• Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

BS Engineering, AND 10+ years professional experience with exceptional performance. Approval of VP Engineering required to obtain this classification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Solid performance rating for the last 2+ years in one of the following:

1. Process Engineering experience in the Natural Gas industry
2. Rotating equipment experience (piping design, pumps, compressors, generators, natural gas processing, cryogenics, etc.) 
3. Recognized fleet or industry expert in knowledge/skill area
4. Registered structural or professional engineer

Also, one of the following:

**Pay Range**
$150,000 to $200,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. **Asplundh Engineering Services, LLC(AES)** is presently in search of an experienced **Principal Electrical Engineer/Manager** to take on a crucial role in our Southern California region. This full-time, remote position may entail some short-term travel. **Objectives/Purpose of Job:**
As a Principal Engineer, Program/Project Manager, you will lead scope development, capital budget requirements, timelines, and the implementation of multi-year Site Master Plan (SMP) activities for complex business critical projects aligned with the Tampa Manufacturing site priorities.

**Qualifications/Training:**
+ BS/MS Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Physics, or related technical discipline; 10-15 years in Engineering and Construction Management. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP) preferred.
+ Proven experience (10+ years) in managing large capital projects and/or programs, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with a focus on facility design, construction management, and operations.
+ Strong understanding of aseptic manufacturing principles, cleanroom design, HVAC systems, and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.

**About this role:**
Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Engineer. The principal engineer must be able to perform gap analysis of the application and also implement alerting, alarming observability. The principal engineer will adopt an SRE organization through Observability, Automation and Cloud Engineering for Branch. The principal engineer must have strong communication skills and the ability to mentor, provide expert advice and upskill the platform engineers. The principal engineer will be called to production outage calls and be expected to reduce the mean time to resolve by providing senior level troubleshooting skills.

**Required Qualifications:**
+ 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
+ 7+ years of experience leading observability and monitoring tooling
+ 7+ years in infrastructure (windows and Linux) support
+ 5+ years proven success in toil reduction initiatives
+ 5+ years in cloud application management
**Desired Qualifications:**
+ Focused on risk mitigation in Cash Vault and Check Processing environments
+ Strong understanding of the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model
+ Ability to troubleshoot the network stack, operating system stack and middleware
+ Deep understand of java applications including how to read a thread dump and use of java flight recorder
+ Knowledge and understanding of AI capabilities
+ Ability to quickly script for new alarms and execute according to company approved alerting tools
+ Ability to dynamically engage and attend high impact production incidents and troubleshoot to resolution and provide immediate incident analysis both written and spoken.
+ Has set up distributed tracing across an internet topology for full health check and with the ability to pinpoint problem source.
+ Mentor the platform teams by training, documenting, certifying and building the teams skill set.
