The Cybersecurity Identity and Access Management (IAM) Team is committed to secure and protect McDonald's information anywhere, on any device, and at all times. The McDonald's Cybersecurity Privileged Access Management (PAM) team is growing. We are seeking a Senior Manager for Privileged Access Management and Cloud Access Management to coordinate global privileged access management strategy for cloud and on-prem access.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
+ Drives the implementation, operationalization, and management of the Cloud and On Prem Privileged Account Management (PAM)
+ Manage and Governance access to different cloud environments (AWS, Azure and GCP)
+ Develops and guides the strategy for management of local administrator credentials
+ Develops, maintains and executes the strategy for Privileged Remote Access (PRA)
+ Develops, maintains and executes the strategy for Entitle Just in Time (JIT) access
+ Develops and maintains the access management operating model, including staffing/headcount requirements
+ Coordinates with global markets to change and system management process
+ Ensures data classification and retention technology decisions, strategy, goals and initiatives are clearly defined and socialized
+ Oversees and drives the implementation of the Beyond Trust platform rollout
+ Ensures Privileged Access Management controls align with existing or emergent changes in the legal, regulatory and risk landscape
+ Sets roadmap and requirements for Beyond Trust integrations with other security technologies
+ Responds to inquiries from MCD leadership and/or internal and external auditors related to regulatory compliance
+ Defines metrics, including key risk and performance indicators, based on data classification and retention use case requirements
Qualifications
+ 8+ years' experience in privileged access management capabilities and programs
+ 4+ years' experience managing people and leading engineering teams
+ Experience with privileged access management (PAM) technology deployments
+ Demonstrated competency in developing effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems
+ Program/Portfolio management experience implementing global processes and technology platforms
+ Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with strong leadership skills to drive organizational change to effectively meet strategic and tactical goals
+ Excellent judgment and the ability to make quick decisions and think creatively when working with sophisticated situations
+ Ability to successfully adjust to changing needs in a fast paced, dynamic environment
+ Forward thinking and has a strong business insight
+ Excellent time management and related organizational skills including appropriate sense of urgency and a proactive approach

Preferred:

The expected salary range for this role is $149,260.00 - $190,310.00 per year

About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal PAM Architect to lead the strategy, architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-wide Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions. This role is critical in securing privileged access across both on-premises and cloud environments, driving adoption of Zero Trust principles, and ensuring scalable, resilient, and compliant privileged access solutions.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in CyberArk (including Privileged Cloud) and related capabilities to safeguard identities, credentials, and privileged sessions across a global enterprise.
You will be responsible for
- Architecture & Design
- Define PAM strategy, roadmap, and reference architectures aligned to enterprise security and compliance requirements
- Design and implement scalable PAM solutions for large, complex environments across on-prem, hybrid, and multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) infrastructures
- Incorporate Zero Trust, Just-in-Time (JIT), and Just Enough Access (JEA) models into PAM solutions
- Implementation
- Lead the enterprise rollout and lifecycle management of CyberArk Privileged Cloud and related modules (PAM Core, EPM, Alero, PSM, CPM, SCA, Conjur, etc.)
- Implement and manage privileged session monitoring, endpoint privilege management (EPM), and application-to-application password management
- Drive integration of PAM with identity providers, SIEM/SOAR, ITSM, and DevOps pipelines
- Security & Compliance
- Establish and enforce policies for privileged access governance, auditing, and regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, FedRAMP)
- Conduct regular reviews of PAM controls to prevent credential theft, lateral movement, and unauthorized access
- Partner with audit and risk teams to ensure continuous compliance and threat resilience
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Act as the PAM subject matter expert (SME), advising executives, architects, and engineering teams on privileged access security
- Mentor and guide engineering teams on PAM best practices and secure operations

About You
You will have expertise in Privileged Access Management tools and platforms to strengthen HPE's security posture and reduce identity-related risks. Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years in cybersecurity or IT (with demonstrated hands-on PAM specific experience in enterprise-scale environments)
- Proven experience in architecture, design, and implementation of PAM solutions across large, complex enterprises
- Deep technical expertise with CyberArk (Privileged Cloud and on-prem), including enterprise rollout and lifecycle management of CyberArk Privileged Cloud and related modules - PAM Core, Privileged Session Manager (PSM), Central Policy Manager (CPM), Endpoint Privilege Manager (EPM), Alero, Secure Cloud Access (SCA), Application Access Manager (AAM) / Conjur (secrets management)
- Strong knowledge of Zero Trust principles, JIT/JEA access models, and privileged identity lifecycle management
- Experience integrating PAM with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), DevOps pipelines, and enterprise IT ecosystems
- Experience with secrets management platforms (CyberArk Conjur, HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, etc.)

**Responsibilities**
+ This role reports directly to the Technology Executive for Authentication, Privilege Access Management Service and Cloud IAM. This role is primarily responsible for ensuring that relevant Privileged Access Controls are adequately enforced across platforms and applications to comply with IAM Standard.
+ Partner with PAM Governance leads to ensure that Privileged Access Controls are appropriately measured, reported and governed.
+ Appropriately assess Privileged Access risk when business and technology decisions are made, demonstrating risk management mindset and practices to safeguard BAC's reputation, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to BAC Policy and Standards.
+ Monitors industry information security and PAM trends and engages peer organizations to refine and enhance BAC's PAM strategy.
+ Apply industry PAM best practices, templates, and documentation while also proposing improvements based on practical knowledge.
+ Provide extensive Active Directory security best practices and consultation to the cross functional teams, ensuring compliance with IAM standards, and better protect privileged accounts against cyberattacks.
+ Develop new PAM requirements and cloud-based security solutions and govern cloud identities.
+ Establish and maintain strong partnership with other Global Information Security (GIS) functions, Core Technology Infrastructure (CTI), Cyber Security Technology (CST), Third Party management, Global Compliance and Operations Risk (CGOR), internal audit, and regulatory agencies.
+ Influence technology and PAM tools owners to build/implement enhanced PAM solutions that are efficient, effective, and modern and able to result in material risk reduction in sustainable manner.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to develop PAM requirements that iteratively support long term PAM modernization and transformation (covers Process, Data and Technology aspects).
+ Engage with Product Managers and Senior Architects to comprehend the strategic PAM technology roadmap, which dictates the need for modernized security principles.
+ Consult with the business to identify gaps and governance issues, leveraging own domain expertise to find effective solutions.
+ Clearly articulate reasons and methods behind proposed changes through informative materials for educating others.

**Required Qualifications:**
+ Extensive knowledge and understanding of PAM-specific laws, rules, and regulations within the financial services sector.
+ Understanding and interpreting BAC's established information security Policy, Standards, Procedure and Guides, and applying this knowledge to related PAM decisions and response. Serve as the Subject Matter Experts in advising BAC business and technology counterparts on effective ways to achieve or exceed compliance with applicable Policy, Standards, Procedures and Guides
+ Proficient in implementing and governing Risk and Role based access security controls.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute the delivery of Privileged Access Management (PAM) services that include health check assessments, strategy, and implementation engagements
- Lead & oversee the design and development of PAM solutions that enforce applicable organization security policies and access management requirements
- Lead and oversee the build, configuration, and architecture of one or more privileged access management platforms, such as CyberArk, Centrify, Beyond Trust and Thycotic, including integral technology components such as password vaulting, privileged session management, application to application authentication, SSH key management, etc.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years of experience with Information Security or in a technology related field
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent professional experience
- Deep expertise in platform security, administration and management, such as Microsoft Windows Server administration and/or Linux/UNIX system administration.
- Experience with Active Directory and/or other LDAP directory services
- Strong understanding and experience with the implementation and functionality of Privileged Access and Account Management systems and controls
- Experience implementing at least one of the following PAM solutions - CyberArk, Centrify, BeyondTrust, Thycotic, preferably vendor certified.

Position Summary:
Global Information Security (GIS) is responsible for protecting bank information systems, confidential and proprietary data, and customer information. GIS develops the bank's Information Security strategy and policy, manages the Information Security program, identifies and addresses vulnerabilities and operates a global security operations center that monitors, detects and responds to cybersecurity incidents. Within GIS, Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a security discipline that enables the right individuals to access the right resources at the right times and in the right context. IAM addresses the mission-critical need to ensure appropriate access to the resources across increasingly heterogeneous technology environments, and to meet increasingly rigorous compliance requirements.
Role Description:

This role is primarily responsible for ensuring that relevant Privileged Access Controls are adequately enforced across platforms and applications to comply with IAM Standard.

Partner with PAM Governance leads to ensure that Privileged Access Controls are appropriately measured, reported and governed.

Apply industry PAM best practices, templates, and documentation while also proposing improvements based on practical knowledge.

Document and convey PAM related requirements to technology partners to build/implement enhanced PAM solutions that are efficient, effective, and modern and able to result in material risk reduction in sustainable manner.

Collaborate with stakeholders to develop PAM requirements that iteratively support long term PAM modernization and transformation (covers Process, Data and Technology aspects).

Provide education to team members and technology partners regarding the proposed changes to PAM controls.

Partners with the policy governance team for socialization and publication of proposed changes to the PAM Standard

Takes accountability for addressing PAM risks. Proactively identify risk and ways to continuously enhance and improve BAC's PAM controls. Implement and take decisive actions in finding solutions. Drives towards intended outcomes.

Engage senior management to provide factual, transparent, and timely reporting on existing and emerging PAM or information security risks.

Active participation in GIS IAM/PAM forums including but not limited to Monthly IAM Stakeholder Forum and Control Owner Forum for standard and Single Process Inventory (SPI) enhancements.

Required Qualifications:

7 years relevant hands-on experience in PAM in complex and heterogenous technology environment.

Deep experience with Linux, Windows, Cloud scale Identity, Access Management (Single Sign-On, Multi Factor Authentication), Authorization services or design and architecture of PAM services

Deep knowledge of bank financial practices and policies and ability to adapt to fast changing environment

Working level experience with IAM platforms such as Ping Identity, Active Directory OpenLDAP, OpenDJ

Experience in consumption of Web Service APIs such as JSON / XML
