Role Overview:
As an Antepartum Registered Nurse (RN), your responsibilities will include:
- Performing initial patient assessments during admissions.
- Creating and updating patient care plans based on assessed needs and responses.
- Documenting nursing interventions and patient outcomes effectively.
- Ensuring proper transcription of physician orders.
- Providing educational support to patients and families regarding care and treatment.
- Administering medications and treatments per hospital policies.
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred experience in an acute care setting.
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current Texas Registered Nurse license or Compact RN license (Texas license required within 90 days of hire).
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required.
- Certification in Inpatient Obstetrics (RNC-OB) preferred.
