**Summary**
CHS Ethanol is looking for a safety-conscious **Process Technician** to operate and maintain equipment in our Annawan IL, ethanol production facility. Responsibilities include monitoring systems, adjusting controls, performing inspections, collecting samples, and ensuring efficient, compliant operation across all processing stages. **Responsibilities**
+ With limited supervision, operate machinery and equipment of a processing facility. Responsible for product quality, meeting safety requirements, and throughput in the assigned area.
+ Conduct continuous inspections, montior equipment, record operating parameters of key process points and make necessary machinery and equipment adjusments to ensure specifications and production targets are met.
+ Ensure effective implementation of QA policies and procedures, complete required sampling and testing of process streams, and understand and interpret QA results and take appropriate action when required.
+ Occasionally deviate from normal process procedure in order to carry out investigational studies.
+ Comply with and implement all regulations and requirements including completion of necessary record keeping.
+ Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance and equipment as required.
+ Monitor, maintain and care for all issued tools.
+ Successfully complete initial, ongoing and supplemental training.
+ Responsible for housekeeping, sanitation schedule, and general appearance of the assigned work area.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
+ Set-up and operate machines to manufacture product which conforms to quality specifications, at the rated output.
+ Continually monitor operations for product quality and equipment performance.

Performs routine to moderately complex process functions and activities such dry film lamination, semiconductor device inspection using an optical microscope and other metrology tools, basic tool operation, some chemical handling in wet process lab.
Observes all safety standards. Maintains a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment. As part of the uncooled detector (focal plane array) research and development team, the successful candidate will have responsibility for processing silicon wafers in a cleanroom environment. Process could include lithography, plasma etch, thin film deposition, and wet cleans. Candidate qualify tools and processes, and process wafers per instructions. Candidate will characterize wafers and devices using Filmetrics, Tencor profilometer, optical microscopes, and SEM. As part of process development, hands-on wafer fabrication and characterization of pilot lots is required. This is the right place for a self-directed, goal-oriented, collaborative engineering technician. The work is varied and challenging where creative problem solving opportunities are many. Our culture is collaborative, supportive, and fun. The work environment is mixed general office and clean room/lab.
**Primary Duties & Responsibilities** :
+ Establish feasibility of new processes with hands-on processing of pilot lots on production equipment
+ Characterize results using quantitative metrology tools
+ Automate or improve established processes
+ Document methods and workflows in MES-ready format
+ Collaborate with device physicists, research technicians, and test engineers to participate in overall product R&D cycle

**Job Description**
Teledyne Imaging Sensors is an integral member of the Digital Imaging Segment of Teledyne Technologies. Imaging Sensors provides advanced imaging solutions for a variety of customers, including the DoD, NASA, prime system integrators, and commercial customers. In the civilian space arena, Teledyne sensors are the most advanced sensors on board the Hubble space telescope, and they are also found on board the majority of NASA space probes and ground-based telescopes. In the DoD arena, Teledyne sensors are integrated into several major systems for persistent surveillance, chemical detection, and target identification, among others.
Process technician is a skill-based position in semiconductor production processing and equipment operation in a cleanroom environment. The production technician team ensures that production processes run accurately and efficiently to achieve quality, throughput, and cycle time requirements. The candidate shall be able to work flexible schedule as needed and open to possible future shift changes.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
The primary duties and responsibilities are as follows. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Works in one or more process modules and perform production processing activities that include photolithography, wet and dry etching, annealing, deposition, inspection and measurements, data recording and process logging.
+ Operates and maintains process equipment that includes vacuum evaporation chambers, metallization, plasma chamber, dry etchers, photolithography tools, metrology tools and other processing equipment.
+ Assists troubleshooting of manufacturing problems associated with production processes and processing equipment.
+ Works with equipment team to perform preventive maintenance, and process engineering team to improve existing process and develop new processes.
+ Provide recommendations for new tooling and process control configurations to improve yield, cost, throughput, and cycle time.
+ Works with Manufacturing Execution system (MES) for process data entry, tracking and reporting.
+ Follows through the established travelers, procedures and work instructions for all work performed.
+ Follow all cleanroom protocol, safety procedures, and AS9100 quality standard.
+ Order materials and cleanroom supplies as needed.
**Qualifications & Competencies**
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:
+ Good understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and procedures.
+ Hands-on experiences in performing semiconductor processing and operating semiconductor processing equipment.
+ Good team player and collaborator with fellow technicians and engineers.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and other process software.
+ Exemplary business ethics and work routine cognizant of safe work practices.
**Education and Experience**
+ High school diploma with minimum three years of experience or associate degree with minimum one year experience in semiconductor fabrication.
+ Training in cleanroom operation and laboratory practices, including ESD training for handling of sensitive semiconductor devices.
**Citizenship Requirements**
Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen.

**Job Description**
**Job Summary:**
As part of the Uncooled Detector Ops team, the successful candidate will have responsibility for processing silicon wafers in a cleanroom environment. Process could include lithography, plasma etch, thin film deposition, and wet cleans. This is the right place for a self-directed, goal-oriented, collaborative Process technician. The work is varied and challenging where creative problem solving opportunities are many. Our culture is collaborative, supportive, and fun. The work environment is mostly clean room/lab with some general office work.
**Primary Duties & Responsibilities:**
+ Establish feasibility of new processes with hands-on processing of pilot lots on production equipment
+ Characterize results using quantitative metrology tools
+ Automate or improve established processes
+ Document methods and workflows in MES-ready format
+ Collaborate with device physicists, research technicians, and test engineers to participate in overall product R&D cycle
+ Help qualify tools and processes, and process wafers per instructions.
+ Will characterize wafers and devices using Filmetrics, Ellipsometer, Tencor profilometer, optical microscopes, and SEM/FIB
+ As part of process development, hands-on wafer fabrication and characterization of pilot lots is required
+ Help transition R&D processes into Production line
**Job Qualifications:**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent experience in related technical discipline required
+ 0-5 years of related experience desired
+ Proficient computer skills - Word, Excel & Outlook
+ Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English
+ Some data analysis skills (fluency in Excel, MatLAB JMP, Python, SQL, or equivalent is helpful)
+ Ability to use inspection equipment (microscopes, FIB/SEM, interferometers), semiconductor fabrication equipment, and wet bench chemistry
+ Direct experience with one or more key wafer fabrication processes is helpful
+ Familiarity and/or strong desire to learn microelectronic/semiconductor and MEMS fabrication techniques
**Desired Background**
+ Wafer processing tools for semiconductor or MEMS fabrication
