**The Opportunity**
This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division where we're focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. The Manager Procurement, Software will be responsible for leading the sourcing, negotiation, and lifecycle management of software solutions across the business. This role ensures alignment with business and enterprise strategy, drives cost optimization, mitigates risk, and fosters innovation through strategic vendor partnerships.
**What You'll Work On**
+ Develop and execute software sourcing strategies aligned with business and technology goals
+ Lead negotiations for complex, high-value software contracts to secure favorable terms and scalability
+ Build and manage a forward-looking, consolidated supplier base to support current and future needs
+ Partner with IT, Legal, Finance, and business units to align procurement with enterprise architecture
+ Administer software agreements to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
+ Monitor supplier performance against SLAs, KPIs, and business outcomes
+ Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies related to licensing, data privacy, and vendor security

**Required Qualifications**

+ Progressively responsible experience in purchasing/commodity management.
+ Proven experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, ideally in software or technology categories.
