The work:

Own the design, configuration, and delivery for key S/4HANA Controlling areas including Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing (plan and actual), Material Ledger, Margin Analysis (CO-PA), and Overhead Accounting.

Translate complex business requirements into detailed solution designs and functional specifications that leverage S/4HANA innovations such as Universal Journal, Margin Analysis, Universal Allocation, Fiori front end.

Facilitate design workshops and engage directly with client SMEs and business leads to finalize detailed design decisions

Configure controlling structures and cost flows across Finance, Manufacturing, Procure to Pay and Order to Cash collaborating with cross-functional team members to ensure end-to-end process integrity.

Own and manage unit testing and support integration and UAT cycles by resolving functional defects, validating cost flows, and ensuring reporting accuracy.

Prepare and validate data loads for master data and transactional data related to controlling objects (cost center plans, activity types, etc.).

Provide inputs to training materials and test scenarios to owned solution areas.

Ensure timely and high-quality deliverables, pro-actively escalating risks, dependencies or blockers to the overall R2R Lead as needed.

Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP Finance & Controlling (FICO) Consultant with a deep expertise in Product Costing and hands-on experience in S/4HANA migration projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, configuring, and implementing SAP FICO solutions, particularly focusing on product costing, financial reporting, and controlling processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive process improvements and ensure the successful migration to SAP S/4HANA.The ideal candidate would help support and build the Interim state key financial processes in a complex environment during the Transition/migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.Highly skilled in cross-module integrations involving SD (Sales & Distribution), MM (Materials Management), and PP (Production Planning) alongside strong knowledge of AR, AP, GL, Asset accounting, Tax (Direct & Indirect), and Consolidation. Should have significant experience in manufacturing industry-specific costing process. This role requires deep functional expertise and configuration ability to design and build business-critical processes through SAP FICO.
- Experience on complex cross-system integrations, including FP&A systems like Snowflake, SAC or Adaptive (for planning and forecasting), SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR), Vertex and other external systems such as Concur, Blackline, Bloomberg, and others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess current ECC system configurations, business processes, and financial data to develop migration strategies.
- Own data migration efforts, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Analyze business requirements and provide functional expertise, guidance, and solutions aligned with SAP best practices in finance and controlling processes.
- Financial Modules Configuration:
- Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP FICO modules, with a particular focus on Product Costing (CO-PC) and Cost Object Controlling (CO-OM).
- Reconfigure or optimize FICO modules (AR, AP, GL, asset accounting, tax, etc.) to bridge the gap between ECC and S/4 environment.
- Work with technical teams to manage adaptations for Business Processes, reporting, workflows, and analytics in cross systems environment.
- Process Optimization and Design:
- Analyze and optimize financial processes during the migration to align with the new capabilities of S/4HANA.
- Support change management initiatives, ensuring minimal disruption during S/4HANA migration and go-live phases.
- Stay updated on the latest SAP technologies and trends, providing recommendations for continuous improvement in financial processes.
- Cross-Module Integrations:
- Ensure seamless integration of FICO modules with other key modules such as SD (Sales & Distribution), MM (Materials Management), and PP (Production Planning).

- Data Migration and Validation:

- Identify and manage gaps, changes, and enhancements between ECC and S/4HANA functionalities
- Validate and reconcile migrated data to ensure accuracy and compliance with business requirements.

- Stakeholder Management and Collaboration:
- Work closely with business leaders, finance, and IT teams to gather requirements, define solutions, and manage expectations throughout the migration project.

- Develop and execute test cases for financial processes to validate system functionality in synchronization with ECC and S/4HANA.

Skills:
- Ability to integrate and streamline multi-system landscapes. This role requires both deep technical and functional expertise.
- Expertise in SAP FICO modules (AR, AP, GL, tax, asset accounting, consolidation, FSCM Credit Management, Bank account Management) with deep integration knowledge of SD, MM, and PP.
- Advanced skills in manufacturing industry costing and controlling processes.

+ Experience participating in all phases of at least 4 full end-to-end SAP implementations, with a focus on SAP Finance/Controlling including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
+ 4+ years' experience in a technical or functional lead role, overseeing teams on at least 2 SAP end-to-end full lifecycle implementations.
+ Experience with a minimum of 2 full life cycle SAP S4 HANA implementations.
+ Bachelor's degree or Associate degree plus equivalent work experience.
+ A bility to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

+ Master's degree
+ Experience migrating SAP ECC to S/4 HANA
+ Previous experience work ing directly for a "Big 4" consulting firm
