Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Product Engineer to join our Product Engineering group. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining technical data packages, providing technical expertise to support manufacturing, and leading engineering efforts for multiple projects. The position requires close collaboration with internal teams, external customers, and manufacturing groups to design, develop, and deliver innovative battery and power solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and maintain technical data packages, including drawings, travelers, tooling, and test procedures.
- Provide technical expertise to solve engineering and production issues, ensuring project success and product quality.
- Serve as the primary technical interface with both internal and external customers.
- Prepare and deliver presentations (written and oral) to peers, management, and customers.
- Design and develop new battery and power solutions to meet customer requirements and emerging applications.
- Partner with Manufacturing to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
- Support proposal activities and act as a technical lead for assigned projects.
- Contribute to tooling, fixture development, and process improvements for battery assembly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (required).
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in an engineering or project management role (preferred).
- Hands-on experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD Inventor.
- Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for both thermal and structural applications.
- Strong knowledge of Design Tolerance Analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience in batteries and/or power systems (preferred).
- Prior experience in Aerospace and/or Military programs (preferred).
- Project leadership or technical lead experience (preferred).

Required Qualifications:
+ A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline. Experience is the most relevant factor.
+ 6+ years of experience with multiple programming languages such as Angular, React, NodeJS, Python, Streamlit, C#, .NET Core, Golang, SQL/NoSQL, as well as unit testing frameworks.
+ 5+ years of experience in designing and architecting enterprise solutions.
+ 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native engineering, using FaaS, PaaS, and micro-services on cloud hyperscalers such as Azure, AWS (mandatory), or GCP.
+ 3+ years of experience with AI/ML and GenAI, specifically working with large language models (LLMs) such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Claude, and Gemini, including practical engineering of AI/ML-driven applications and solutions leveraging Generative AI.
+ Prior experience with AWS technologies-including Glue pipelines, Step Functions, EMR, Lambda, Neptune, Redshift, Aurora, SQS/SNS, Athena, OpenSearch, AppSync, SageMaker, and Bedrock-as well as with Snowflake and Apache Iceberg table formats in cloud-based data architectures.
+ Prior software engineering experience with the understanding of Business Context Diagrams (BCD), sequence/activity/state/entity relationship/data flow diagrams, OOP/OOD, data structures, algorithms, and code instrumentations.
+ Prior experience using methodologies & tools such as XP, Lean, SAFe, DevSecOps, SRE, ADO, GitHub, SonarQube, etc. to deliver high-quality products rapidly.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $107,000 to $221,000.
