This team is a 24x7 third tier Support group that works between IT, third party entities and the transmission and distribution substation departments.

Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to develop a comprehensive standard criterion and provide expert level guidance for the successful implementation of FAN (Field Area Network) along with 220Mhz Narrowband radio system.  This consists of field design, field deployment, and testing of field devices utilizing test RTU’s and applicable testing software.  Strong troubleshooting and testing skills will be required.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory. 

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.  This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.  

Bay Area: $132,000 – 196,900

California: $125,000 – 187,000

Job Responsibilities

  • Works closely with other IT and Business groups and third-party vendors to ensure systems are deployed and maintained in an efficient manner.  Communicates all issues, changes, outages, maintenance, etc. in accordance with established policies and procedures. Provides support in analyzing, diagnosing problems from statistical data and reports. Reports out on various leadership updates.
  • Utilize appropriate RF tools (Spectrum Analyzer, etc.) and approved RF software to conduct RF interference mitigation along with detecting and mitigating noise floor interference.  Be able to work with all antenna technologies to build out successful signal propagation.
  • Create and oversee training class curriculum, via field and classroom training. This position will support the needs of the OTS supervisor and other OTS specialist in their daily roles with procedures documentation and standards. This position will include 24x7 call-out support, and occasional system-wide travel to support installation, O&M work, and systems acceptance. All employees are responsible for performing their jobs in accordance with PG&E’s vision and values.

Key Responsibilities
Project & Integration Work

**Job Description**
The Airports team provides services for a variety of airport projects including paving, grading, buildings, airport lighting, and fuel systems. As a Technical Expert on the Airports team, you will be responsible for elevating the level of technical expertise and project management capabilities within the firm. You will provide company-wide direction, internal consultation, and specialized services to clients. You may also travel, work with the sales team to market firm services, and serve as contact for key clients.

**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Serves as a subject matter expert for the firm, acting as an advisor internally and externally and elevating the level of technical capabilities through mentoring of staff.
+ Provides firmwide direction, internal consultation, and services to clients in a specialized service or discipline integral to the firm.
+ Maintains company profile by participating in key projects.
+ Maintains a reputation as a technical expert outside of the firm; writes papers, gives technical presentations, and/or regularly represents the firm in professional and technical societies.
+ Collaborates internally to develop and implement strategies and best practices that align with discipline trends and standards.
+ Provides direction in putting together technical resources for key projects, using resources effectively.
+ Promotes efficiencies in producing quality work and ensures quality control standards are maintained.
+ Researches and analyzes discipline-related data, trends, and emerging technologies to provide insights and recommendations internally and externally.
+ Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of industry-related initiatives within the discipline and makes recommendations for improvements or modifications as needed.
+ Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders and industry partners to stay informed of developments and to identify opportunities for collaboration.
+ May represent the firm on governing bodies of professional organizations to elevate the profession and the firm's brand.
+ May serve as a discipline quality leader to support discipline efforts to implement, educate, and continuously improve Olsson's Quality Management Program.
**Experience, Education and Certifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, construction, planning, landscape architecture or a related area preferred. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an associate degree with equivalent experience is required.
+ A minimum of 12 years' experience in a civil engineering discipline with a focus on airports.

+ Is thoroughly familiar with the firm's services, clientele, goals, policies, and procedures aligned with the firm's tenets, values, and vision.
+ Is thoroughly familiar with Olsson's Quality Management Program.
+ Has a strong understanding of engineering business consulting.

**District Technology Support Manager**
**Responsibilities**
+ Subject matter expert for current and future InfoLink products and offerings.
+ Support the dealer/branch and customer network on these offerings.
+ Set up and coordinate module association with InfoLink Project Management.
+ Answer technical questions during sales calls, conduct go-lives, train customers on the product, perform advanced troubleshooting in the field and over the phone/via web meetings.
+ Provide on-going technical support activities to ensure customers' expectations of the product are met.
+ Document findings within internal knowledgebase and customer tracking.
+ Report product issues to InfoLink Service Product Manager.
+ Provide direct support to customers, dealers / branches and internal personnel on InfoLink software questions, managing databases, troubleshooting issues with software and hardware including servers and modules.
+ Help ensure that the Retailers in their region know how to properly install and troubleshoot InfoLink hardware.
+ Assist Retailer Network with InfoLink Warranty & parts request.
+ Conduct follow-up calls with customers to assist them with analyzing data and InfoLink work in general.
+ Report product issues to InfoLink Service Product Manager.
+ Perform Go Lives & Module Associations for customers based on requirements within the organization.
+ As assigned, work with Engineering, Design and potentially other departments within the Company to identify issues, develop troubleshooting processes, build theory of operation for new and existing InfoLink Products and proactively fix issues.
+ Report product issues to InfoLink Service Product Manager.
+ Work with InfoLink Project Management on special projects.
+ Work with other departments in InfoLink Support to improve the overall Infolink product for the Company and its customers.
**Qualifications**
+ 5-7 years related experience
+ Bachelor's degree (Electronics, IT or Engineering) _Non-degree considered if 12+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED_
+ Must have valid driving privileges
+ Extensive travel (over 20%)
+ Extensive overnight stays (over 20%)
