Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Brand Manager to lead the strategy and execution of innovative product launches within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. This pivotal role, based in the vibrant city of San Diego, California, US , offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of beloved consumer brands. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive brand strategies, including market research, consumer insights, positioning, and integrated marketing communications plans. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, sales, and operations, to ensure successful product development and commercialization from concept to shelf.
Key responsibilities include:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred) and have 5-7 years of progressive brand management experience in the FMCG industry. Proven success in launching new products and revitalizing established brands is essential. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and project management skills are required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, are critical. Experience with consumer insights and qualitative/quantitative research methodologies is highly valued. This is a hybrid role, requiring collaboration in our San Diego office several days a week, offering flexibility for a strong work-life balance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and managing annual brand plans and budgets to achieve volume, share, and profit objectives.
- Conducting in-depth market analysis, identifying emerging trends, competitive threats, and consumer needs.
- Crafting compelling brand narratives and ensuring consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints.
- Leading the go-to-market strategy for new product introductions, working with sales and trade marketing to drive retail execution.
- Managing agency partners (advertising, digital, PR) to deliver best-in-class creative and media campaigns.
- Monitoring brand performance, analyzing sales data, and providing actionable insights for optimization.
- Identifying opportunities for brand growth and expansion into new markets or channels.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance and ethical brand stewardship.
