Product Lifecycle Management Analyst

Associate positions at Astranis typically last for twelve weeks, and are salaried roles designed for new grads who have graduated from a four-year university.

Minimum education and years of related/relevant work experience required: BS Degree in engineering, technical or science discipline and at leaste 10 years of related/relevant work experience and advanced knowledge of JIRA, PLM and/or Enterprise tool configuration management concepts, best practices, and procedures.
Additional skills/experience required:
+ Working knowledge/experience with DoD customers and tool implementation.
+ Experience with technical presentations and customer-facing activities at the GS-14 and GS-13 levels.
+ Demonstrated success partnering with customers to understand critical challenges, shape customer requirements, develop innovative solutions, and manage execution of solutions through implementation.
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
Master degree in engineering or related field.
Experience with SSP Programs organization and working processes
PMP Certification
Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) IT network systems
Experience implementing digital engineering, model-based engineering, and/or agile engineering techniques
2 years of work experience with Windchill PLM or Jira integration and implementation
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $46670 - 249330

  • Responsible for designing, documenting, implementing, governing, and continuously improving the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) framework.
  • Design and implement key processes, forums and metrics for each of the phases of the PLM framework (e.g., concept, plan, build, launch).
  • Participate in the global effort to automate each phase of the framework (e.g., approval workflow, knowledge management and repository, decision making, reporting, etc.).
  • Design and implement metrics to monitor the effectiveness of the PLM framework.
  • Produce insights, analyses and recommendations to improve the PLM process.
  • Partner with peers in other functional areas (e.g., finance, pricing, risk, commercialization, product development, client services) and across global regional teams to implement and improve the product lifecycle process.
  • Lead ad-hoc strategic and operational projects, such as the automation of product roadmaps, and the development of value streams for each of the business units.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and effective management of expectations.
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required 5-10% of the time.
  • Position reports to the San Francisco, CA office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business, Management, or related field followed by 10 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
  • Alternatively, employer will accept a Masters degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business, Management, or related field and 8 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
  • Position requires experience in the following:
    • Leading end-to-end Product Lifecycle Management implementations from process reengineering and development to solution build and rollout;
    • Developing current state process maps, target state process reengineering, and business/functional requirements specifications;
    • Understanding Agile development frameworks and incorporating principles into the design of new processes;
    • Creating user journey map and value stream mapping;
    • Visio;
    • Figma;
    • Jira; and
    • Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office.
