The Product Merchandiser is an omnichannel and consumer centric role, responsible for driving the product creation process, from analyzing POS sales to discovering consumer trends and market insights to create a cohesive merchandising plan for each customer. The role is responsible for generating product cost worksheets, seasonal forecasting, and KPI management. Critical in supporting and executing the divisional financial strategy to achieve corporate goals and drive profitability.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Reviews POS sales data to track consumer behavior and determine category shifts in all channels of distribution and key accounts.
- Performs competitive research and retail analysis and to understand emerging trends and developments in the market, identify voids within the assortment, and product opportunities for future growth.
- Assists design in creating seasonal marketing trend decks and customer concept presentations.
- Generates and manages seasonal product line plans and collaborates with design, sales, and account support to execute line plans and go to market strategies.
- Formulates product pricing strategy and monitors retail market activity to deliver business objectives.
- Establishes target product pricing and achievable ways to meet seasonal margin goals. Generates customer wholesale costs and communicates accordingly to sales and customer accounts.
- Coordinates with compliance team & demand planning to maintain all packaging costs and monitor current tariffs and freight rates throughout the season.
- Responsible for partnering with overseas partners and finance team to maintain seasonal costing in the price master and PLM system.
- Aligns with account support and planning to create seasonal sell-in reports and evaluates for future growth opportunities.
- Support management strategies and processes using a customer centric mindset to deliver results, drive store sales, and maximize efficiencies and productivity.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Requires a minimum of an undergraduate degree in merchandising, business, or relevant field.
- Requires 2+ years of applicable experience in merchandising, buying, product management, demand planning, or equivalent; preferably in footwear, accessories, or apparel.
- Must be proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Needs to be highly detail oriented with strong organizational & analytical skills.
- Must be team oriented with ability to work collaboratively and gain alignment with many cross functional teams.
- Needs strong presentation and communication skills.

- Supports a Merchandise Category and takes direction from the Category Merchant for category specific activities.
- Calculates and maintains suggested retail prices, open price points and special pricing; ensures "markets" price lists are accurate; processes changes in system.
- Maintains and audits market price lists and customer competitor profile; provides recommendations.
- Acts as a liaison between the corporate office and region/ sales territories to communicate Company marketing.

Qualifications:
- This position requires a minimum of one year product marketing, merchandising, inventory management, financial analysis or related experience.
- Company store experience or Tire industry experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of SAP, Microsoft SQL, MicroStrategy & BeX Analyzer is preferred.
- Proficient in analyzing and summarizing data sets; ability to consolidate multiple sources of information/ analyses into a cohesive story/ recommendation.
- Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships is necessary.

**VISUAL MERCHANDISING MANAGER - US PRESTIGE**
**NYC**
**COTY is looking for smart leaders who are fast and passionate. If you love fashion and beauty, this is a great opportunity for a visual merchandising manager role, working on high fashion/luxury beauty brands.**
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
As our Visual Merchandising Manager, you are responsible for managing, creating and developing VM execution for the US retailers.
This role is responsible taking globally issued VM guidelines and customizing for the US market. The VM manager is responsible for concepting and developing fixture updates within retailers including but not limited to - Sephora, Ulta Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Macys.
**Your main focus:**
+ Manage and execute visual merchandising for Coty prestige makeup brands. This role will also play a part in launching a new makeup brand as well.
+ Manage requests from marketing and sales team - track projects, communicate milestone due dates, works towards budgets, provide creative solutions, brief global VM teams on requests, communicate to retailers as needed.
+ Manage Vendor relationship - provide feedback and necessary documentation, review TDs and prototypes, proof artwork files, value engineer, manage quotes and POs
+ Participate in weekly status meetings with cross functional teams, global teams and vendors.
+ Demonstrate strong understanding of materials, engineering, and timing constraints to ensure realistic and high-quality project execution

**QUALIFICATIONS**
We'd love to see candidates who have:
**Essential:**
+ 5+ years of experience in beauty or related industry
+ Must have experience working on VM for Sephora or Ulta displays
+ BFA or BA in industrial design or related field of study
+ Proven experience in project management and working on production with vendors
+ Strong experience in understanding technical drawings and creating planograms.
+ Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign.
**Desirable:**
+ Luxury brand experience preferred
+ Ability to successfully communicate concepts and detailed information verbally and written
+ Highly motivated, self-driven and can work independently.
+ Highly organized and detail oriented
+ Rendering with Sketchup is a plus
