BIG PICTURE:
We are searching for a Production Equipment Manager to oversee and maintain our film equipment and multiple props at our studio based in Burbank, CA. This individual will be key in supporting our various production crews ensuring all film gear needed on a daily basis is readily available and in working condition, as well as overseeing Equipment Room team members. The ideal person is extremely detailed with a strong eye for organization. They should possess on the spot problem solving and investigative skills to not only identify and resolve issues but figure out their cause to prevent them in the future. This individual will not only manage the check in and check out of all equipment, but they will also be expected to create clear inventory systems, report any discrepancies in inventory counts, and create departmental policies to minimize and prevent theft, loss, or damage to items.
Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on equipment, and ensuring all inventory logs are accurate and up to date. They will need to be comfortable training crews on equipment as needed and be comfortable helping Directors and Gaffers figure out what gear is best to execute their vision . They must be able to identify technical issues that require offsite repair and be able to handle basic mechanical repairs in house, when possible. The ability to communicate these problems to vendors or identify the exact parts needed for repair is necessary. The individual should be able to anticipate the needs of the production crews and offer temporary solutions using the resources at hand to prevent equipment related delays in production. They should also be well acquainted with industry standard gear and trends and be ready to help develop packages for specialized projects beyond the scope of main and bonus channel productions as well. Ultimately, the ideal candidate is extremely organized and tidy, has impeccable communication skills, and understands the value and proper care techniques for each piece of equipment. This is a critical position that requires someone who is trustworthy, a proactive thinker, and is able to exercise good judgment. HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME:
- Logging all equipment requests from team members in an organized and efficient way
- Verifying inventory accuracy and tracking items daily for expected check in and check outs
- Preparing and organizing equipment daily for multiple production crews, ensuring items aren't double booked and are readily available in a timely manner
- Supervising the day-to-day operation of the equipment room (check-in/out), maintaining all production equipment (cameras, lights, sound, tripods, microphones, etc.)
- Ensuring that returned equipment is complete and in working order, including required follow-up with team members as needed
- Completing quality checks for maintenance of all gear and supplies housed within the equipment room and props storage area
- Updating inventory count and maintaining accurate records
- Creating inventory logs while maintaining meticulous organization using appropriate platforms such as (Skype, Monday.com, Google Drive)
- Ensuring the storage and workplace for all equipment is tidy and neat
- Performing all repairs and or making recommendations on where to send equipment out for repair when necessary
- Implementing annual inventory and quarterly cycle counts
- Assisting in preparation for upcoming shoots by pre-packing each crew's equipment
- Working with our Security team to implement loss prevention protocols to prevent theft
- Maintaining clear and positive communication with all necessary departments and team members
WHAT YOU HAVE:
- A minimum of 3 years working within the film industry or a rental house
- Ability to perform repairs and maintenance on damaged or worn down equipment, as well as the ability to recognize what damage is wear and tear and what is a result of misuse
- Comprehensive knowledge of cameras, lights, sound gear, tripods, microphones, etc. and experience with repairing damaged items, when possible.
- Proficient with Excel, Google Sheets, and Docs; Monday.com and Skype experience a plus
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Self-motivated with excellent communication and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and quickly under pressure
- Ability to multitask while working on many moving pieces in a fast paced environment

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to facilitate the movement of materials within our distribution center. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety protocols, and effective materials handling techniques. Responsibilities- Follow Triple-S safe methods of work at all times, and immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
- Safely and properly move steel to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, by hand, forklift, overhead crane or other equipment. Attach slings, hooks, or other devices to lift material and guide loads; to climb onto vehicles to tie down and release material being loaded. This is continuous daily activity.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds for up to 25 feet to heights of 5 feet; exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects, reach, squat, stand, walk up to 5 miles per day, climb up stairs, ladders and on equipment while wearing required personal protective equipment as necessary.
- Apply proper bundling techniques.
- Configure load based on planned route including multiple stops.
- Maximize load capacity on trailer without sacrificing safety.
- Maintain and safely operate all assigned tools and equipment, including but not limited to tape measure, caliper, hammer, pallet trucks, banding machine, micrometer, beam hooks, plate lifting clamps, forklift, overhead crane and personal protective equipment;
- Determine safety issues pertaining to equipment and promptly report them.
- Work indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions including precipitation, cold/heat, high wind, and turbulent conditions. The Material Handler will be regularly exposed to the typical weather of the local area.
- Maintain spatial orientation and awareness to safely move around work environment with many moving objects.
- Judge near and far distance to maintain awareness of ongoing work activities of other people and equipment in the area.
- Attend all required company meetings.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Ability to correctly read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
- Ability to safely meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the Company.
- Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision; work alone and in a team environment.
- Ability to develop a good working knowledge of product and inventory control techniques and procedures.
- Ability to maintain ongoing inter-department communications related to routing, safety, and customer relations.
- Demonstrate basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
- May be required to demonstrate strong customer relations skills.

- Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
