Our client, a forward-thinking manufacturing enterprise, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Production Planning Lead to join their globally distributed team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere within the US. The Production Planning Lead will be responsible for optimizing production schedules, managing inventory levels, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials to meet demand while minimizing costs. This role requires a proactive approach, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust production planning strategies and schedules to meet forecasted demand and service level agreements.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and supply chain teams to gather demand forecasts and translate them into production plans.
  • Monitor production output and inventory levels, identifying and addressing any deviations or potential bottlenecks proactively.
  • Optimize raw material and finished goods inventory to ensure adequate supply while minimizing carrying costs and obsolescence.
  • Utilize advanced planning and scheduling (APS) software and ERP systems to manage production plans and analyze performance metrics.
  • Work with manufacturing facilities to ensure adherence to production schedules and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) for production planning and control, tracking performance and reporting on trends.
  • Manage the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, facilitating cross-functional alignment on demand, supply, and financial plans.
  • Identify and implement best practices in production planning and inventory management.
  • Provide training and support to team members and other stakeholders on planning processes and systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in production planning, materials management, or supply chain planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and Advanced Planning Systems (APS).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory control principles, and S&OP methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US and comfortable working in a fully remote capacity.

**Job Summary**

+ Maintains a clean, neat, and safe work environment. Identify and resolve potential safety hazards.
+ Lead continuous process improvement efforts to reduce scrap, cyce times, improve efficiency, and eliminate wasts within the production environment.
+ Performs other duties ass assigned based on business needs.
+ Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
+ Exhibits regular, reliable punctual and predictable attendance.
+ Must be able to work assigned shift(s) with overtime as required to complete assignments if necessary.

+ ISO 9001 experience is a plus.
+ Basic Computer skills; Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
+ Bilingual English/Spanish, spoken and written, is strongly preferred.
+ Attention to detail and ability to follow standardized work procedures.
