The Production Maintenance Technician will be responsible for responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive and corrective maintenance on the production equipment and systems in an industrial manufacturing environment
Must have the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot CNC, Mazak, Fanuc Robots, VFD's, pumps, bearings, blowers, fans, gearboxes, hoist, air handlers and other equipment as required. Perform all aspects of preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance on all production related industrial systems including, but not limited to, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors and coolant systems.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Performs pipefitting, welding, fabrication, and millwright related work on the production equipment and systems.
+ Conducts preventive maintenance inspections and required preventative maintenance actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, alignments, etc.
+ Troubleshoots and repairs heat exchange equipment.
+ Utilizes meggers, voltmeters, multi-meters, etc.
+ Performs plumbing and hydraulic hose repairs.
+ Troubleshoots and repairs basic electrical issues.
+ Safely operates fork-lifts, hoists and cranes.
+ Utilizes safe rigging and lifting techniques.
+ Performs preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, controls, and operating systems as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
+ Responds to and provides service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations and industry standards.
+ Recommend activities to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
+ Exhibits strong leadership skills, such as motivation, delegation, ownership, leading by example, well-developed organizational skills, excellent communication skills, etc.

1. Maintain a safe and clean work area. Demonstrate basic safe work practices based on company and customer policies and procedures.
2. Able to attend and pass certification and licensing classroom and practical training for rolling stock, such as forklifts, scissor lifts, articulating boom lifts, etc.
3. Understand and utilize portable ladders and demonstrate proper selection of required fall protection devices.
4. Performs preventive maintenance activities on facilities following written instructions. PM activities include measurement of wear, replacement of worn or defective items (i.e., belts, hoses, fluids, filters, etc.) and inspection/evaluation of operating characteristics such as speeds, pressures, vacuum, or vibration.
5. Completes assigned work orders and documents completion within the CMMS. Completes repairs including rebuilding of pumps, steam traps, valves, electrical and pneumatic solenoid devices.
6. Completes general repairs on process equipment. Completes repairs to valves (air, steam, hydraulic) and cylinders (air, steam, hydraulic).
7. Performs shift "rounds" using a checklist to document performance characteristics (i.e., operation modes, pressures, temperatures, RPM, etc.) of facility systems and equipment.
8. Communicates with the customer's operational leadership, site leadership or designee in assuring that all aspects of a work request are understood that parts must be ordered, or that requested completion date will be delayed for any reason not discovered during the conversion of the work request into a work order.
9. Performs PM & repairs within the process area.
10. Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties and responsibilities.

**JOB SUMMARY:** The Production Technician III role is essential for supporting the operations team and is responsible for planning and performing highly diversified duties to include installing, moving, repairing and preventive maintenance on production equipment throughout the facility. Perform 5S and Lean manufacturing activities including material handling improvements, production line configuration, and safety procedures. This role must use and exemplify industry leading maintenance practices and methodologies to increase equipment safety, uptime, and performance. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** : + Champions company and industry standard safety policies and procedures - OSHA, NEC, NFPA, USDA, FDA, etc. Recognize, escalate, and action unsafe work conditions and engages with co-workers to ensure conditions and behaviors comply with policies. Make suggestions to improve safe work practices and procedures as appropriate. + Develop and execute inspections and preventive/predictive maintenance tasks on production and process utility equipment to increase quality, safety, and overall equipment reliability. + Diagnose and repair production and process utility equipment deficiencies and failures; to include, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment. May include facility repairs as needed. + Use continuous improvements tools and methods to improve equipment reliability, may include root cause analysis (RCA), failure mode analysis (FMA) and make recommendations to prevent recurrence. Coach and train team members on RCA and FMA. + Champion and lead production equipment rebuilds, line moves, installations, setups, and calibrations. Work with OEM's on emergency repairs as needed. + Read and interpret equipment work orders, manuals, assembly diagrams, electrical schematics, and P&ID's to perform required maintenance and service. Coach and train team members on reading and interpreting said technical documents. + Responsible for effectively managing assigned planned work, unplanned failures, and work orders in a high-paced, fluid work environment. + Responsible for accurately and concisely logging work orders in computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to properly track maintenance and equipment performance metrics; to include labor, equipment uptime, preventive maintenance compliance, MTTR, MTBF, part usage, etc. **QUALIFICATIONS:** **Experience** Required + Five (5) plus years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
