Responsibilities

  • Works with cross functional teams and third-party vendors to schedule, calibrate, maintain, and document issues of equipment and systems
  • Works with cross functional teams on projects to improve and develop processes/equipment using lean manufacturing
  • Works with cross functional teams to determine calibration/maintenance requirements and procedures
  • Ability to function efficiently within a ticket-based equipment management system software
  • Create, document, and execute calibration and maintenance protocols to provide continually improving overall equipment effectiveness following cGMP/GLP guidelines.

The estimated base hourly range for the Production Maintenance Technician role based in the United States of America is: $19.27 - $28.89. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package. Job Description
  • In terms of responses expected in the interviews, we are looking for someone who can communicate in English.
  • They must be able to work the shift hours that the position is posted for with the ability to work overtime as needed. This is a fast-paced working environment, and the person will be expected to learn quickly and produce quality results.
  • The primary focus of this position is to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production and support equipment.
  • Duties in this position are occasionally repetitive, requiring analysis and use of individual judgment. Specific duties for this position include performing machine and preventative maintenance, basic electrical and building repairs and communication with support staff.
  • Supervision ranges from close to general.

Essential Duties:
  • Percentage of Time All duties to be performed according to the established standard and in compliance with all company policies and procedures while maintaining regular, prompt attendance, availability for overtime and ability to adjust schedule as needed:
  • Provide support to lab personnel by completing basic machine repair requests, chemical changes and equipment changes on designated production equipment.

Physical Demands:

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Trade school, completion of formal apprenticeship programs, or six to eight years of plant maintenance experience.

  • Proficiency in at least one of the following areas: carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, welding, rotating equipment, or associated facility work. Additional experience in more than one category is a plus.

  • Previous computer experience and familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and work order and Preventative Maintenace (PM) tracking a plus.

  • Experience working in an electrically rated production environment or Process Safety Management (PSM) facility is a plus.

  • Ability to interpret machine and facility drawings and specifications.

  • Ability to interpret SDS's and understanding of Hazardous Identification System.

Position Summary

This position with Troubleshoot, inspect, and repair manufacturing equipment used to make and deliver umbilicals used in oil and gas operations. Some tasks may include installing power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as extruders, conveyors, and programmable controllers. The person in this role will be expected to diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires and cables. In addition, machine set-up. Operation and tear-down of equipment used to manufacture and assemble subsea umbilicals will also be part of this role.

Duties And Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL:

  • Operate, set up and tear down production machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines under immediate supervision of a certified operator used in manufacture and assembly of subsea umbilicals.
  • Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks according to specifications, accurately and in a timely fashion. Assists with the machine/s set-up and operation.
  • Monitor the quality of product as being produced and notify supervisor or other operators when problems are spotted. Understand the quality policy and be able to identify a quality product from an unacceptable one.
  • Understand work center training and safety requirements through JSEA's, Process Maps, and Work Instructions.
  • Complete production documentation and Pre-Assessments of work center as required.
  • Maintain knowledge of company maintenance procedures, assist with daily maintenance checks and activities for work center as required.
  • Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
  • Read hydraulic and electrical schematics, comprehend complex drawings, specification, and procedures.
  • Assemble, disassemble, and test various tools and assemblies for onshore and offshore surface and subsea applications.
  • Review project instructions and blueprints to ascertain procedures objectives, test equipment nature of technical problem, and possible solutions such as redesign, substitution of material or parts, or rearrangement of parts of subassemblies.
  • Setup and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate design proposals for improving equipment performance or other factors.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures that apply to a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card) to access work area.
  • Requires ability to work 8-hour shifts as a rotating shift.
  • Possesses basic knowledge of computers.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Understanding of flushing and system fluid cleanliness installation.

DESIRED:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 years working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Electrician/Journeyman License desired.
  • Experience with 480 VAC power systems, breakers, Siemens AC/DC variable speed drives, basic PLC principles.

In this role you will be responsible for responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive and corrective maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment on all production related industrial systems including, but not limited to pumps, motors, PLC and CNC machinery, robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, and coolant systems.

+ Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.
+ Must have the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot industrial equipment such as pumps, bearings, blowers, fans, gearboxes, air handlers, and other equipment as required.
