Job Responsibilities
- Building a production schedule for the day, coming week and month that uses labor efficiently to meet customer expectations for delivery
- Managing the plant safety program (daily huddles, monthly training, inspections, procedure development, behavioral observations, projects, and enforcement/discipline)
- Developing frontline Leads to assist in all areas of production processes
- Hiring, training and onboarding of new and existing employees to support the plant workload
- Managing monthly budgets and job-based budgets for labor and material spending
- Making improvements to product quality, production efficiency, safe work practices, etc.
- Daily and monthly reporting on labor usage, materials usage, etc.
- Managing raw material and finished goods inventories
- Managing preventative and corrective maintenance of all production equipment, tools and assets
- Managing the purchasing and receiving process for the production area

Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Delivery Performance: Align production execution with business objectives to consistently meet or exceed monthly revenue and on-time delivery targets.
- Shift/Site Oversight: Provide hands-on leadership and support across all three shifts, ensuring seamless handoffs, clear communication, and consistent performance standards around the clock. Provide support for remote sites as needed to ensure solutions are provided to meet customer expectations.
- Capacity Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage production schedules to maximize machine utilization and labor efficiency while meeting delivery and sales targets.

- Strong background in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Effective in capacity planning, scheduling, and throughput optimization.
- Comfortable using Epicor (or similar ERP) in conjunction with PowerBi to make data-driven decisions to manage shop floor performance.

Production Manager
This position is responsible for managing daily operations of the Production Department; ensuring the plant meets established safety, quality, and production goals in compliance with all applicable legal and food safety requirements.
Essential Functions
- Manages and directs activities of the production department, ensuring product adheres to Niagaras standard of safety, quality, and throughput.
- Collaborates with the planning department to create production schedules that meet both internal and external needs. Establishes and adjusts work procedures and schedules to meet production plan.
- Maintains effective working relationships with team members through open communication, visibility, and involvement to promote a positive working environment that maximizes safety, employee engagement, productivity, and throughput.
- Provides direction to supervisors on team member coaching and development, employment decisions, and resolving issues through conflict resolution. Hires, trains, coaches and reviews performance of team members. Partners with Human Resources for recruitment, corrective actions, and terminations.
- Collaborates with Maintenance Department leadership to plan preventative maintenance on the production lines.
- Analyzes and submits reports for production numbers, downtime, attendance, overtime and quality checks to the Plant Director.
- Collaborates with the Plant Director and Planning Department to develop the Production Department budget and forecast.
- Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Develops capital equipment justification for machine upgrades and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department personnel.

We are looking for a senior level RF technology subject-matter expert (SME) with a passion for doing work of national importance and a talent for managing RF hardware development and production projects. The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary project team responsible for the assembly/integration of various antenna technologies. As an SME, they will be expected to make informed decisions about the personnel, equipment, suppliers, and outside services required to meet production contract requirements and exceed customer expectations. Over the last two years, research scientists and engineers at Applied Research Associates (ARA) have realized extraordinary success in developing ultra-wideband, modular, antenna systems with unmatched performance capabilities. As a result, customers in both Defense and Intelligence communities are turning to ARA to meet operational needs that were previously unattainable. To keep up with the demand for our products while simultaneously advancing the state of the science, ARA is looking for a senior-level program manager (PM) with a background (subject matter expertise) related to antennas, radar, communication, navigation, and EW systems. This individual will work alongside the leader of our Antennas and Radomes group in Lafayette, CO office, providing day-to-day program management, supporting customer interactions, and using their technical expertise to advise on approaches to accelerate or improve our products. The successful candidate must have a passion for doing work of national importance and a talent for managing RF hardware development and production projects. This individual will manage a multidisciplinary project team of engineers, technicians, and support personnel. He or she will be responsible for overseeing a wide variety of fabrication and testing processes and equipment to integrate RF components into antenna systems for wide-ranging DoD and government applications and ensure consistently high-quality products. These systems are built at our Lafayette, CO office and involve an assortment of electrical, mechanical, and RF components configured and combined to realize novel high-performance antenna solutions. The PM will oversee day-to-day execution of project tasks and ensure successful completion within the allotted budget and schedule. RF expertise is required, because the PM must be capable of determining the appropriate blend of personnel (expertise/talent) and equipment to assign to given project, and to make informed decisions about how to distribute personnel and equipment across multiple simultaneous production activities. The PM will be responsible for working directly with materials suppliers and outside services and will interface with customers as required to ensure that we meet all contractual requirements, while exceeding customer expectations whenever possible. The PM will continuously collaborate with other engineers, scientists, technicians, and administrative staff. Duties:
As the Third Shift Production Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of packaged herbs, spices, oils, and blends. You will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing processes, managing equipment and personnel, and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. Your proactive approach to problem-solving and dedication to continuous improvement will be key in meeting production requirements while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Resolve equipment issues and evaluate options for implementing new equipment, processes, or layouts to enhance production efficiency.
Collaborate with other departments to develop long-term goals and strategies aligned with the company's strategic planning process.
Contribute to the creation of departmental budgets for all production shifts for the fiscal year.
Coordinate activities with purchasing, receiving/warehousing, production planning, and quality control departments to ensure smooth product flow.
Act as a liaison between production and other departments to address quality, supply, and process concerns.
Analyze data to identify cost-saving opportunities related to labor, product loss, packaging, and consumables.
Participate as a member of special project teams to drive improvements and innovation.
Review and verify labor distribution reports for accuracy.
Ensure compliance with safety practices, sanitation standards, and good manufacturing procedures within the department.
Foster a positive work environment that boosts employee morale and motivation.
Champion waste reduction, recycling, and resource re-use initiatives.
Promote and adhere to safety rules and policies, participate in safety training, and promptly report injuries and near misses.
Play a critical role in ensuring food safety, quality, and continuous improvement efforts.
Directly supervise Production Department employees (2 Leads and 30 Production Employees), including hiring, training, work assignment, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution.
Lead by example to reinforce a strong safety culture within the department.
Identify and address safety hazards, encouraging suggestions from employees and taking corrective actions as needed.
Reward safe practices, communicate consequences for unsafe behavior, and hold employees accountable for safety violations.
Needed:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in engineering, management, industrial technology, or a related field would be a plus but not required
2+ years of production exp.

Production Manager
Seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of the production process. The Production Manager will ensure on-time delivery, adherence to safety and quality standards while managing budgets and personnel to strive for the maximum utilization of company resources. The Production Manager will work closely with the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities
- Achieves manufacturing results by overseeing the timely completion of process orders while minimize losses due to production related issues.
- They will work with all employees using coaching, counseling, discipline, and mediation skills
- Needs to be a driver, constantly striving to improve the production process using process monitors; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources reporting on daily results, and making corrections to achieve targets
- Assigns personnel to accomplish work results; establishes priorities; monitors progress; resolves problems; evaluates employees, and conducts orientation and training of personnel
- Responsible for compliance with all safety rules, policies, and regulations related to safety and quality
- Responsible for creating and maintaining a safe and clean work environment in office areas and production related spaces
Qualifications
- Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Business, or related field
- Experience in the manufacturing industry strongly preferred
- Successful track record of leading teams and executing business initiatives
- Ability to develop relationships, and foster a team environment
