**Relocation & Sign On Bonus Eligible**
The Spartanburg operation is a state-of-the-art coffee roasting and pod packaging facility in addition to hosting a full beverage distribution center. Spartanburg is the largest KDRP manufacturing and distribution location. The site will operate on the foundational principles of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance); leverage the principles of Lean manufacturing and harness the power of Highly Effective Teams. All associates at the Spartanburg site will have accountability to both a functional business unit in addition to the full site operation. The site will run on first-in-class enterprise IT and manufacturing execution systems with highly automated processing, packaging, and material movement equipment.
As a Operations Manager, you will be expected to lead and inspire teams of highly skilled, highly engaged employees and support a “team of teams” and mini-Business Unit approach that will enable our employees to achieve extraordinary results. You will provide oversight and guidance to a team of 30+ production associates and work collaboratively across all functions to streamline efficiency of production, optimize cost per unit, and deliver world class safety, quality, and delivery performance. Working within a highly automated TPM-based environment, crew leaders will enable disciplined execution of standardized processes through leader standard work and layered process audits, while teaching and facilitating structured problem-solving techniques and processes to drive waste out of the system and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Shift & Schedule: This is a full time position on our Day Shift 2-2-3 schedule working 6:30am to 7:00pm. Great schedule for work life balance! Flexibility for additional coverage outside of these hours, including potential weekends and/or holidays, is also required as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver best-in-class performance across the balanced Scorecard
- Deliver upon the site safety goal of zero injuries by leading, promoting and supporting safety culture through behavioral safety observations, facilitation of safety meetings, completion of regular safety audits and visible leadership moments, enforcement of lock-out/tag-out program, and 100% completion of all safety and regulatory training
- Achieve zero-defect performance and improve the customer experience by leading a right first-time approach to all production, conducting layered process audits to ensure all quality processes are being followed, and leading Root Cause Corrective Action efforts when defects do occur
- Work collaboratively with maintenance, quality, material handling and distribution center to reduce unplanned downtime and increase machine availability through the establishment and sustainment of autonomous and preventive/predictive maintenance SOPs and TPM programs
- Lead cross-functional focused improvement initiatives to streamline material flow and improve equipment efficiency to increase capacity and reduce operating expenses
- Facilitate mini-Business Unit Structure (mBU) and Support Highly Effective Team model in a TPM-based Environment
- Lead 30+ associates through full employee cycle, including interviewing, hiring, and training to coaching, performance management, development, and recognition.
- Provide leadership and support to operations teams in support of site operational meeting cadence (production planning, TPM Starpoint, mini-Business Unit, site leadership, and employee meetings)
- Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's TPM and Highly Effective Team Principles, policies and applicable laws.

Requirements
- Associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited culinary program plus 5+ years experience as a sous or executive chef in fine dining, hotels/resorts, country clubs, or healthcare/senior living

- A passion for food, a desire to grow, and a work ethic that supports both
- Must be willing to relocate for promotion opportunities

Production Manager
The Production Manager primarily serves the Pointer Studios brand. This person is responsible for all major productions covered by Pointer Studios. This includes sports and entertainment Shows, news broadcasts, live sporting events, and other events that fall under the Pointer Studios brand. They are expected to assist and oversee during these productions. In addition, they are also responsible for remote equipment used on remote locations. They should have general background knowledge of in-studio equipment.
- Oversee all major Pointer Studios productions
- Understand all studio equipment
- Manage the use of studios, cameras, and editing equipment
- Host production meeting with producers
- Educate all members on the production process and equipment
- Organize outreach management
- Handle all budgetary duties
- Fill out all SGA related documents
- Prepare budget proposals
Required Qualifications

Preference goes to:
- Media Studies or other Communication majors

Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day production operations across multiple shifts. Direct and coordinate all activities within the plant. Monitor implementation of plans and strategies. Resolve external business related complaints by maintaining liaison with local and Divisional Quality staff, and facility staff to investigate and resolve customer issues.
- Ensure a safe, clean and secure working environment by establishing and enforcing procedures, rules and regulations. Initiate fixed capital requests, monitor all production related safety and security systems and procedures on a regular basis.
- Work with staff to ensure information reported information is accurate and consistent with procedures and policies as developed by production and engineering. Respond to audit activities and use findings to improve operations.
- Monitor predetermined preventative maintenance measures designed to minimize equipment related downtime.
- Establish continuous improvement through lean and simple kaizen initiatives in production. Report production improvements and failures and recommend solutions. Establish Key Performance Indicators related to strategy that track progress.
- Minimize and resolve external business related complaints by maintaining liaison with local and Divisional Quality staff, and facility staff to investigate and resolve customer issues.
- Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies. Conduct semi-annually performance management for reports.
Required Experience:
Education
- High school diploma or GED
Work Experience
- 5 years' experience in manufacturing and Supply Chain (inventory management, warehouse, etc.) environment.
- 2 years' experience managing people including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work.
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel, AS400, and SAP.

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$100,360.00 - $150,800.00 Annual
The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
