Position Summary

As a Production Planning Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of production operations. You'll lead a team of production coordinators, manage scheduling, and serve as a key liaison between departments to ensure customer specifications are met with accuracy and efficiency. Job Summary
Responsible for planning and scheduling production schedules.
+ Analyzes, participates in development, and implements logistics plans affecting the production plan, distribution, and inventory of finished material.

L3Harris Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking a Specialist Production Planner (Liaison) to join our Scheduling & Material Planning Center of Excellence in our Redmond, Washington facility.

Essential Functions:
In this role, you will organize and coordinate the work of individuals and/or project teams; manage all aspects of assigned projects in one or more operations supporting production activities such as planning, scheduling, material/tool planning and control, production control, shipping, receiving, warehousing and/or transportation, etc.; perform short and long-range planning for assigned functional area(s) and implements approved plans.
+ Coordinate manufacturing resource groups using dispatch reports.
+ Act as a liaison between operations and cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Operations).
+ Facilitate clear and timely communication to ensure smooth product workflow.
+ Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to review progress and address bottlenecks.
+ Develop and maintain capacity planning models for accurate work center throughput expectations.
+ Analyze production data to forecast future capacity needs and adjust plans.
+ Ensure dispatch reports reflect accurate production status and capacity utilization.
+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
+ Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and direct activities for the organization.
+ Interest in the status and tracking of hardware process.
+ Familiarity/experience with inventory management principles.
+ Experience using Qlik Application, Oracle and Delmia systems, preferred.
+ Excellent communication, Interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with cross-function/cross-site teams.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $65,500 - $27,500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is 59,000 - 110,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. Description
The intern will work directly with the Production Planning Team to learn the ERP system for demand planning, review, release and tracking of work orders to the shop floor for production. This will involve interaction with department Supervisors and shop floor team members to ensure on time completion. The intern will be tasked with reviewing our scheduling and reporting tools to seek out improvements and refinements to both. The intern will be assigned a small deck of part ID's to plan under the direct supervision of an experienced planner mentor and production planning manager. The goal to provide the intern with practical and hands on production planning and scheduling experience.
+ Assist with developing/improving the method and or tool used to create production schedules for machining areas and smaller assembly areas.
+ Work directly with production planners on smaller projects and assignments designed to offer practical, hands on production planning and scheduling experience.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely production and delivery.
+ Conduct data analysis to support decision-making and process improvements.
+ Assist the production planning department in coordinating and optimizing production schedules, managing inventory, and ensuring the smooth operations of manufacturing processes.
Position Requirements
+ Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Mangement or Industrial Engineering with a desire to explore production planning/scheduling.
