The Irvine facility has approximately 150 employees and is the Headquarters for Eaton Aerospace. This site makes the parts that bring jet fuel to and through thousands of aircraft every day.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $77625.0 - $113850.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

**What you'll do:**
Production Schedulers are primarily focused on converting the Master Schedule into an operational one-to-four-week schedule for a facility after aligning with internal manufacturing capacity.
The Production Scheduler is responsible for level-loading daily production schedules by analyzing resource capacity and other constraints to optimize throughput, minimize manufacturing cycle time and inventory, and achieve on-time delivery goals. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and effective coordination with cross-functional teams including Operations, Customer Service, Finance, and Purchasing.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
- Direct daily workflow (WIP - "work in process") through analysis of reports and input from cross-functional teams, including use of the critical ratio tool.
- Align and set priorities for resources and shared resources across the factory to maximize efficiency and material flow, ensuring customer ship schedules are met.
- Collaborate with SCM planners to gather daily parts/material information and establish dates to meet or exceed customer delivery requirements via planning or exchange offerings.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Purchasing.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and techniques to improve the scheduling function.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement activities and process optimization, including creation and adherence to standard work.
**Qualifications:**
**BASIC (Required) QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
+ 3+ years of planning/schuedling experience in a manufacturing environment

**A Brief Summary of This Position:**
The Production Scheduler is responsible for logically and accurately scheduling and reviewing finished goods and components through all phases of the manufacturing areas. The Production Scheduler coordinates customer information to the production floor and ensures that ship dates are met. Work is typically performed in an office setting. The incumbent is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as talk and listen on the phone and in personal conversations or meetings. Environment is fast paced and demanding most of the time. No travel requirements for this position. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms while working in the office with various files and forms and while working on the computer. The employee is occasionally required to move about the office as well as spend a fair amount of time on the production floor. Proper PPE including safety glasses and metatarsal boots are required. Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrists rests. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds in working with large files, binders, and computer equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

OVERALL POSITION FUNCTION
Work in conjunction with the COO, Floor Supervisors, and Shipping personnel to support production activities in a fast paced, make to order environment. Duties include product line daily scheduling and capacity loading, coordination of shipping activities, involvement in inventory system and Epicor system material receipts and issuing, and maintenance of production support supplies. Duties cover multiple product lines, and functions across multiple areas of expertise (purchasing, planning, shipping, inventory control). Efforts are coordinated and communicated with Sales and Production management to meet Company objectives.
SPECIFIC DUTIES/FUNCTIONAL TASKS
Perform production work order release, printing, material issuing, and completion activities to support multiple product lines throughout a manufacturing company.
Participate in establishing and communicating production capacity and lead times for orders and product lines. Manage the master loading plan for floor supervisors to perform the exact daily schedule.
Serve as the primary outside contact with shipping carriers in coordination of tactical logistic decisions.
Coordinate third party shipments and drop shipments to support sales requirements.
Reconcile production records to accurately reflect production completions and status.
Work in a leadership role with the Shipping staff, in both product shipment and receipt roles.
Interact with Floor Supervisors, and Director of Manufacturing in the movement of staff to aid all departments in meeting companywide objectives.
Serve as purchase agent in sourcing shop production supplies, including some productive material as assigned. This will include consumable items on repetitive, scheduled basis. This includes entry of all required ERP transactions to track and support the purchasing process.
Work to defined procedures, and assist in creating new procedures as required. Audit performance of Shipping staff to procedure as needed.
Participate in quarterly safety inspections, and assist in communicating safety/injury information.
Participate in monthly quality/case review meetings, and actively coordinate RMA process handling return and replacement of material involved in quality reviews.
Preform system transactions to support lot control, back flushing, and tasks related to maintaining inventory accuracy.
Other duties as assigned.
