Purpose of Position: Involves the overall planning, implementation, and optimization of activities and support required for the delivery of products and services to our business partners, from materials/service acquisition through shipment. Primary areas of responsibility include scheduling, releasing to operations and pegging to shipments, supply chain related project work, and data analysis.
Job Description / Process Elements:
- Schedule production efficiently and cost effective manner, based on equipment, labor, and material availability to achieve operational objectives.
- Dating sales orders.
- Releasing production orders to operations.
- Problem solving upset production orders from Operations.
- Managing fiber inventory and coloring plans.
- Assigning fiber.
- Assigning finished goods to sales orders.
- Review production processes and coordinate with other planners/schedulers.
- Participate on teams focused on process improvements, including material flow, cycle times.
- Provide inputs and maintains planning and scheduling metrics.
- Routinely report to management on status and performance for assigned products.
- Manage the master production schedule to drive materials for customer requirements and optimizing required production fluctuation and inventory levels.
- Establishes planning strategies to maximize the optimal MRP environment for assigned product sets.
- Coordinates demand recognition for new products in MRP for both new product introduction and product transfers between plants.
- Engages in materials coordination and capacity facilitation with plant procurement.
- Support production planning/master scheduling activities, including order management, resource planning, delivery promising (ATP management), production forecasting and reporting of actual manufacturing results vs. plan.
- Provide back up to certain planning functions.
- Work closely with production coordinators and team leaders to establish short-term and long-term expectations and execution of the production plan.
Required Education / Experience / Skill:
- HS / GED required and 4-6 years of cable operations / warehouse experience.
- Self-motivated, positive attitude.
- Comprehensive computer and Microsoft Office knowledge and skills.
- Knowledge of SAP or other MRP system, preferred.
- Knowledge of basic principles of supply chain planning, forecasting, capacity, and purchasing.
- Able to problem solve.
- Communications (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks.
Desired Skills:
- Manufacturing process knowledge or background, cable manufacturing preferred.

Hours / Work Schedule: Works a rotating 12hr shift along, 7am 7pm.

What to Expect
Gotion's Manufacturing Operations team is looking for an experienced and driven Production Planner to work alongside manufacturing to support production goals at the Manteno, IL location. The planner will be responsible initially for scheduling production across battery module manufacturing, and ramp quickly as we stand up cell manufacturing. The planner will also be responsible for structuring and performing analysis to support the road map for production capacity changes across production lines.
What You'll Do
- Create 0-1 production schedules that align with demand and capacity, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Analyze production capacity and demand to inform strategic decisions and roadmap planning.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and support teams to develop and improve processes, including production batch sizes, material transfer, and controls.
- Respond to unexpected changes, such as production shortfalls or material shortages, by providing information, impact assessments, and options to downstream shops.
- Generate and publish production performance metrics and forecasts to identify potential supply chain risks.
- Communicate production plans, revisions, and performance to stakeholders, including manufacturing, support, and business teams.
- Assist in implementing inventory control solutions to minimize shortages and optimize inventory flow.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to adapt to changing business needs.
- Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering/Operations, Supply Chain management or the equivalent experience
- Demonstrated high volume production planning experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with minimum 1 years' experience structuring and building analytical models
- Ability to spot process improvement opportunities and influence others to make change
- Good organizational and project management skills. (role requires juggling projects, daily tasks, and urgent questions)
- Ability to create clear and impactful reports and PowerPoint presentations, effectively conveying complex information to diverse audiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $70k - $90k + 15% bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. * Execution and compliance of procurement process for optimal sourcing decisions.

GoJet Airlines is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Technical Production Planning Specialist – Long Term Planning to join our team at our St. Louis headquarters. This role is responsible for forecasting, developing, and coordinating long-range maintenance plans for our CRJ fleet, including aircraft acquisitions, engine and landing gear removals, and heavy maintenance checks. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

The Technical Production Planning Specialist-Long Term Planning reports directly to the Manager, Technical Production Planning, Trans States Holdings. The minimum qualifications for this position requires:
- Degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or A&P License, preferred.
- 2 years’ experience in Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering of which at least 1 years in Maintenance Planning, preferred.
- Fully conversant with aircraft systems, power plant and components.
- Thorough knowledge of related Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering functions, aircraft regulatory requirements and maintenance documentations.
- Proficient with Computer applications such as Microsoft Project and Office. Knowledge of CATS is an advantage.
- Complete INDOC and aircraft FAM (or equivalent) training.
- Demonstrate knowledge of GMM and CAMP requirements.
- Experience of CRJ products, preferred.
- Attention to detail, organized and can multi-task.
- Positive and focused attitude to aircraft safety and efficiency.
- Knowledge of Aircraft Engine Systems and their operation.
- Knowledge of modern methods for Airworthiness and Maintenance Planning, preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Included in position but not limited to:
- Develop and manage all LONG-TERM planning activities related to changes in aircraft fleets, including, but not limited to,
- Aircraft acquisition (new and used).
- Lease returns, Aircraft painting, and Modifications.
- Forecast and develop LONG RANGE projections of fleet maintenance operations associated with the Letter Check C and multiples, Intermediate Letter Check C, and Fall-Out Tasks having correlated CPCP, SSI or Zonal needs for compliance during a HMC.
- Develop a long-range plan for scheduled engine removals for effective utilization of spare engines and APUs.
- Develop a long-range plan for scheduled Landing Gear removals for effective utilization of spare landing Gear.
- Coordinate planned landing gear and engine removals with maintenance providers and landing gear, engine and APU repair vendors.
- Coordinate with appropriate departments to ensure the HMC aircraft are routed for scheduled HMC workload to the required HMC facility or contracted MRO.
- Plan and schedule boroscopes, inspections, and other time-controlled engine events.
- Plan and schedule maintenance BLOCK packages (Letter Check C) based on the availability of planned hours to ensure minimum aircraft downtime and a balanced workload.
- Work with the Production Maintenance Managers and Supervisors to ensure adequate manpower and sufficient spares are in place to accomplish assigned HMC workloads.
- Ensure that CATS is maintained and up-to-date based on recently accomplished work.
- Schedule and maintain reports to communicate forecast of aircraft scheduled out of service (AOS).
