POSITION SUMMARY

The primary role of the Production Supervisor is to support the Production & Packing Team Members and to facilitate and to drive product output through the Packing Lines. The focus is to facilitate the work of each Operations Team (Packing and Production.) This position does not set the schedule for these teams but works intimately with the Operations Management to communicate a clear understanding of what goals need to be met. Goals are achieved when this person maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process, appraising job results, and recommending/making necessary changes. The role is expected to lead by example and to coach, mentor, and develop employee. This position reports to the Production Manager and will assist/contribute to initiating, coordinating and enforcing company policies and procedures in coordination with Human Resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILTIES (including but not limited to):

• Responsible for production output goals
• Manage the hourly team members for the Packing and Production Teams
• Effectively work with Team Leaders and their teams to achieve their output goals for the day, week and month.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors degree preferred; however extensive work experience may be considered

10+ years experience, preferably in a food processing industry with plant/production management experience, at least 5+ years in a leadership role

Continuous improvement experience is required

Knowledge of food safety, quality, productivity, & sanitation processes.

Computer skills including MS Office

Ability to lead a team

Ability to thrive in a fast growth high-pressure environment

Excellent communication skills

Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are required.

Cleveland Service Shop - 2nd Shift Production Supervisor

Summary:

At our Cleveland Service Center site, located in Cleveland, Ohio, we re-manufacture alternators for EVO, HDL and FDL locomotives. The Cleveland Center supplies alternators to locomotive manufacturing sites and repairs points across the globe. The site focuses on safe, efficient processes, while continuously driving out costs.

How will you make a difference?

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. In this role you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

What will your typical day look like?

* Provide direction and support for an assigned hourly production team encompassing EHS, Quality, Process, Material, Delivery.


* Lead and support all Continuous Improvement Activities.


* Drive lean and digital mindset with work group through implementation of 5s, visual management, and support of brilliant factory initiatives.


* Assist with implementation of condition based work scopes and service productivity projects into flow lines for sustainability, efficiency, and overall optimization.


* Promote culture of team work, continuous improvement, and collaborate problem solving.


* Provide clear and accurate communication to the work group. Ensure follow-up on issues and concerns are addressed in a timely manner.


* Drive customer satisfaction through detailed focus on product reliability and on-time delivery.


* Identify opportunities to increase employee engagement, motivation, and collaboration across work group.


* Ensure compliance to JSA's, SOP's, and drive work order completion and material controllership.


* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience within manufacturing environment.

Job Description

We are looking for a research scientist to join our team to train AI models. You will measure the progress of these AI chatbots, evaluate their logic, and solve problems to improve the quality of each model.

In this role you will need to hold an expert understanding of chemistry- a completed or in progress Masters/PhD is preferred but not required. Other related fields include, but are not limited to: Research and Development Chemist, Formulation Scientist, Development Chemist, Analytical Chemist, Chemical Engineer, Medicinal Chemist, Biochemist, Process Development Chemist.

Responsibilities:

• Give AI chatbots diverse and complex chemistry problems and evaluate their outputs
• Evaluate the quality produced by AI models for correctness and performance

Qualifications:

• A current, in progress, or completed Masters and/or PhD is preferred but not required
• Fluency in English (native or bilingual level)
• Detail-oriented
• Proficient in chemistry, inductive/deductive reasoning, physical/temporal/ spatial reasoning
