Job Description
Our client, the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Production Worker to join their team. As a Production Worker, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting assembly and quality control teams. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, reliability, and a strong work ethic, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Production Worker
**Location: Cape Girardeau, MO**
**Pay Range:** $17 per hour
**Shift:** 7am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday
**What's the Job?**
+ Assemble various millwork products such as exterior and interior door units by reading and interpreting job tickets and blueprints.
+ Operate woodworking machinery including chop saws, table saws, routers, and pneumatic tools to machine and modify products.
+ Prepare completed products for shipment by applying casing, sleeves, stickers, and labels as needed.
+ Inspect the quality and accuracy of the product throughout each stage of the assembly process.
+ Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning, oiling, calibrating machines, and reporting malfunctions to supervisors.
**What's Needed?**
+ No prior experience required; training will be provided.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and job tickets.
+ Willingness to learn and cross-train across various workstations and tools.
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

QUALITY STATEMENT
The Production/Distribution Lead will assist the Department/Value Stream Manager with management of the department including managing production, assigning work, addressing employee issues including discipline, communicating with other departments, managing overtime and scheduling, and adhering to budgets.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Will direct daily production by assigning employees to work activities based on production schedule. Accountable
for safety, labor efficiency, quality, teamwork, and schedule attainment.
Responsible for directing production activities including assisting with material handling, making box tickets,
producing tally sheets, providing proper production tools, maintaining data sheets
Capable of completing all production jobs within assigned department/value stream and, relieve employees, if
necessary
Responsible for inventory including following material procedures, data entry, return of unused material to the
warehouse, and participating in work-in-process and physical inventories
Responsible for ensuring a safe work environment for all employees (includes following all policies/procedures,
ensuring that employees are following policies/procedures, participating on safety teams, being a member of the First
Aid Safety Team)
Completes positive and/or negative corrective action documents and issues documentation during discussions with
employee.
Completed performance review data and documentation then conducts necessary meetings with employees.
Assist with employee concerns, as needed, and work with the Value Stream Manager and the HR Department when
issues arise.
Orientate and train, or direct the training, for new or transferred employees. Also, conduct necessary training for the
team on things such as annual safety topics or new policies/procedures, etc.
Willingness to work with other departments/value streams and also transfer to other departments/value streams as
needed or for development purposes.
Implement continuous improvement projects utilizing lean manufacturing principles.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
· HS Diploma required
· Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
· 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably leading or supervising others
· Successful completion of a drug screen and background check
· Successful completion of physical WorkSteps test
· Intermediate User Level in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Basic User Level in MS Access
· Ability to learn SAP, Pkms, WorkForce Time & Attendance, and/or other internal software programs (as needed)
· Ability to read and locate information well, understand applied technology, use/apply basic and intermediate math skills
· Observe and listen effectively
· Communicate well verbally and in writing
· Lead and actively participate in a teaming environment
· Ability to effectively motivate, manage and lead others
