Summary of Position: Production Engineer is a position focused on supporting and enhancing the production processes. Works closely with front line manufacturing (production), collaborates with other departments, and implements continuous improvement initiatives. Provides technical support and contributes to a safe and efficient production environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Works closely with Engineering Manager with analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall production
• Collaborates with other departments including Product Development, Technical Service and Quality Control to streamline production processes
• Utilizes Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create detailed models and drawings of mechanical systems and process improvements
• Acts as technical expert on production floor to include training production staff on new processes and/or equipment
• Identifies and researches opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency gains for Production
• Leverage background in plastic injection molding experience to continuously improve plastic production environment.
• Collaborates with Product Development to handoff new systems, equipment and/or products to production
• Identify and resolve issues with machinery and extrusion processes
• Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance of production equipment
• Writes and maintains SOPs as needed
• Adheres to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
• Adheres to all company/departmental policies and procedures related to safety
• Perform other duties as assigned

Travel and Per Diem:

harvest through packaging and labeling of the final product ready for customer sale as outlined

Major Areas of Responsibility include:
- Assists in the post-harvest plant processing of cannabis.
- Fan leaf removal, harvest, drying, trimming, curing, weighing, packaging, labeling,
recording, and inspection of product in addition to cleaning and sanitation. - Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
- Transport harvested plants to drying room and hang to be dried.
- Hand trims and/or operates a trimming machine to remove excess plant material.
- Weighs, records, and shreds plants waste and adds a non-cannabis medium for compliant
disposal. - Receives instructions and assists on tasks as delegated by management team.
- Works in a quick and efficient manner.
- Complies with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
