+ Packing boxes or display trays with finished packs of toothbrushes 0.5 lbs. to 2 lbs.
+ Stacking of finished display trays or boxes from working tables onto stationary pallets, or from pallet to pallet. This task requires lifting from waist or chest level to floor or waist level repetitively. Requires frequent lifting of 25-35 pounds **.**
+ Use of basic hand tools to stabilize pallets of product and stacks of cardboard, 5 -10 pounds.
+ Lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
+ Stand and walk distances frequently during 8-hour shifts.

Objective
The RadiopharmaceuticalProduction Technician will be expected to perform all tasks associated with formulation, preparation, assembling, and packaging of components, according to cGMP Guidelines to meet production demands. Reporting to the Manager, Radiopharmaceutical Production, the Production Technician will have responsibility for aseptic production of radiopharmaceutical drug product and radioisotopes in accordance with established manufacturing batch records; will support the technical transfer, development, and validation of production methods associated with finished dosage form (FDF) drug products and radioisotope products; will investigate, resolve, and mitigate deviations, non-conformances, and OOS (Out of Specification) events associated with product manufacturing at the GMP facility; will monitor production-related equipment to ensure proper function and compliance with the established calibration / PM equipment schedule; and support continuous process improvement of existing manufacturing methods via Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

Essential Functions
  • Produce radioisotopes and drug products following cGMP guidelines and resolve all production-related quality events in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate production activities with Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Plant Maintenance to facilitate on-time release of drug product and radioisotopes.
  • Participate in technical transfer and process validation activities in collaboration with other departments.
  • Safely work with radioactive materials following ALARA principles and NRC guidelines.
  • Utilize and monitor all manufacturing-related equipment.
  • Conduct and appropriately document aseptic production of radiopharmaceutical drug product and radioisotopes via strict adherence to manufacturing batch records and affiliated SOPs.
  • Safely handle and participate in the transfer of radioactive materials throughout the facility.
  • Monitor manufacturing equipment to ensure performance and safety standards are met.
  • Collaborate with maintenance technicians, equipment manufacturers, and quality assurance to ensure that all production equipment is in good working order and is validated for use.
  • Preparation of packages for distribution as per the regulations for the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), Packaging and Transport of Nuclear Substances (PTNS), as well as International Air Transport Association (IATA)
  • Provide verbal and written reports to supervisors in a clear and concise manner.
  • Maintain accurate and complete lab data notebooks as per cGLP and/or cGMP, as appropriate.
  • Adhere to all applicable procedures, cGLP, cGMPs, company policies and any other quality or regulatory requirements.
  • Embody and promote a quality culture and due diligence approach as part of all activities.
  • Work well in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Perform batch record calculations and maintain all documentation according to cGMP guidelines.
  • Performs the maintenance and cleanliness of department, premises, and equipment on a daily basis.
Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • Aseptic processing and technique experience preferred.
  • Experience working with radiopharmaceuticals will be considered an asset but is not a requirement.
Knowledge / Skill / Ability
  • Must be willing to work overnight shifts to support a small-sized team. Typical shifts run Monday to Friday, with shifts spanning 10pm - 6am, 12am - 8am, 4am - 12pm and 9am - 5pm.
  • Must be capable of providing front line troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and process issues, properly elevating concerns, and issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Full range of motion and ability to use both hands mandated by machinery. High degree of manual dexterity.

Global Filter Production Technician

The Global Filter Production Technician will be based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Production Technician will be responsible for operating production equipment designed to manufacture and assemble process filtration products. They play a pivotal role in Global Filter's success by assembling our process filtration products to meet or exceed our customers' quality of work standards while maintaining efficiency. The Production Technician will have a strong understanding of the Global Filter product portfolio, production processes & procedures, operating tools & equipment within the manufacturing process, and our core culture.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated quick learner with a strong bias for action. The candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a team-player attitude. The person must be able to meet expectations consistently, predictably, and reliably with regards to attendance, quality of work, and efficiency.

Schedule: 2nd Shift - Monday - Friday (2:00PM - 10:30PM) Shift Differential included for 2nd Shift opportunities

Responsibilities
  • Assemble process filtration products to desired product specifications
  • Safely operate production equipment designed to cut process filtration products
  • Run various sonic welding equipment to weld pleat packs and other process filtration products
  • Operate multiple thermal end-cap machines at one time
  • Troubleshoot thermal end-cap machines as needed
  • Inspect work packs and labels for accuracy, ensuring correct assembly of product by using our product building system
  • Verify and follow all work pack instructions to desired customer and product specifications
  • Navigate ERP system for material allocations and inspections
  • Utilize various hand and power tools to assemble process filtration products
  • Perform accurate measurements and basic mathematics to inspect finish lengths and diameters
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Ability to read and follow instructions provided on work orders and work pack instructions
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure
  • Must be able to perform basic math calculations
  • Must be able to work in a clean atmosphere producing multiple lines of high purity process filtration products
  • Must be able to work in a positive, dynamic work environment with an emphasis on teamwork and quality of work
  • Must practice excellent personal hygiene on a daily basis
