Responsibilities:
+ Assist with planning and coordination of daily priorities for operations and provide direction to Department Managers as needed.
+ Ensure the facility delivers the desired results in the key operational areas of safety, quality, service, and cost.
+ Maintain daily contact with department managers to keep them informed of progress against production schedules, manpower performance, and processing difficulties while providing direction and technical assistance when needed.
+ Drive and support a team environment in safety, quality, cost, productivity, and efficiency.
+ Assist in preparation of budgets and standards for cost measurement and manage operations within that budget.
+ Motivate associates to work in a safe, clean, and efficient manner.
+ Drive PX performance and development for Department Managers through one-on-one conversations and goal setting.
+ Provide direction to department managers while ensuring compliance with all company, plant, and departmental guidelines and procedures.
+ Promote favorable associate relations by assisting associates in resolving any job-related problems or concerns including Process Improvement (PI), TMS, quality, safety, equipment, diversity, and training.
+ Assign, prioritize, and follow up on improvement projects within the production areas.
+ Routinely review the performance of department managers and associates.
+ Ensure systems are in place to prevent non-conforming material from reaching the final customer.
+ To develop department managers for continuous growth within Shaw Industries.
+ Work with internal departments as well as all other plants/technical resources within Shaw .
+ Fill in for the Plant Manager as needed.
Requirements:
+ 4-year degree
+ 4 + years of management experience are required , preferably in manufacturing .
+ Proven ability to improve processes and lead cost reduction initiatives.

Coneline Dept.: consists of using knives, cutting shoulders, pulling breast, cutting wings, cutting tenders, is very repetitive hand motions on a fast paced production line.
DSI Dept.: removing nugget pieces and filets at the outfeed conveyor and transferring them onto a belt conveyor, inspecting pieces and removing any defects.
**HARVESTING plant is located at 1591 Broad Street**
Live Hang Dept.: is hanging live birds into shackles without causing any harm to the birds. Have to be able to hang 25 birds per minute to qualify
EVIS Dept.: trimming any defects, inspecting front and backside of bird, any bird with fecal or defects are pulled immediately from the line, before they are in USDA inspection.
Cut Up Dept.: will have **rehanging** of the bird as it goes through the chiller process, so it is cold on the hands and then the bird is inspected and rehung onto the shackles
General Laborers will be using knives to cut up the product as well as inspecting and monitoring pieces on the line before they go to the USDA inspection Point.
· Processes product using tools (to include knives), manual labor, and equipment provided in accordance with USDA and Pilgrim's Company product standards and procedures.
· Process product according to operating procedures and quality/quantity expectations.
