JOB PURPOSE or JOB SUMMARY:
Under the guidance of the Production Manager, the Power Unit Assembler is responsible for assembling products such as check valves, hydraulic cylinders, pumps, valves, and oil level indicators. These products must be completed according to acceptance test procedures and routing operations. The assembler will work closely with both the Sales and Engineering departments to accomplish necessary tasks. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
Contributes to a positive working culture, builds strong relationships, and lives out the values of integrity, collaboration, and accountability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fabricate Parts
- Position and assemble parts according to special instructions, routings, and blueprints.
- Measure parts to specified tolerances.
- Deburrs, grinds, and buffs parts.
- Operate pneumatic tools, and hand tools to aid in assembly.
- Write special instructions for assembly of products per blueprint.
- Bend tubes to customer specifications from ¼" up to 1 ¼"
- Welding of brackets, tubes, and beams, fill holes, and check for leaks once completed.
- Inspect all parts for cleanliness and flaws. If flaws exist, completes Nonconforming Material Report
- Receive parts for each job from stock room.
- Send assembled products to test and/or quality assurance final inspection.
- Repair nonconforming products.
- Clean, assemble, disassemble, and replace parts as required.
- Return all unused parts to stock.
- Record time on labor sheets for each process of assembly
- Pipe fitting
- Receive job package consisting of final card, special instructions, blueprint, and acceptance test procedures for each job.
- Send assembled products to test and/or quality assurance final inspection.
- Operate pneumatic tools, and hand tools to aid in assembly.
- Use chemicals, adhesives, solvents, lubricants, epoxies, paints, and inks, as required.
- Keep assembly department clean and free of foreign object damage.
- Keep production supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress as related to work assignments.
- Respond to routine emails, phone calls, etc.
- Make copies, print documents, etc.
- File paperwork

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Working Hours/Environment
- Office hours average 40 per week; may require additional hours including evening and weekends depending on business needs.
- Work typical performed in an indoor shop environment.
- Standard business hours for production are 6:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.
- Basic hand tools including but not limited to; allen wrenches, hammers, wrenches, angle grinders, power tools, and air tools.
- Basic knowledge of machining equipment, such as drill presses and chop saws
- Basic knowledge with Tribute or another Inventory Management system
- Minimal- up to 10% of the time in instances such as Installations or picking up supplies.

**We are seeking entry-level Production Technician to support critical manufacturing operations in a GMP-regulated environment. This role involves hands-on tasks such as vial inspection, packaging, equipment operation, and basic maintenance.**
**Location:** New Albany, OH
**Pay:** 18-21/hr
**Shifts Available:**
+ **1st Shift:** Rotating 12 hours, 2-2-3 Schedule
+ **3rd Shift:** Rotating 12 hours, 2-2-3 Schedule
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Perform **inspection and packaging** of product-filled vials according to SOPs and batch records.
+ Set up, operate, and clean manufacturing and packaging equipment.
+ Conduct routine equipment maintenance and ensure proper documentation.
+ Participate in **filling support activities** and internal support operations (e.g., stocking, material movement, inventory tracking).
+ Identify and report equipment malfunctions; perform basic troubleshooting or adjustments.
+ Understand and document **batch records** , **packaging configurations** , and **component reconciliation** .
+ Follow cleanroom protocols, hygiene standards, and adhere strictly to **GMP** and **safety** procedures.
+ Train new team members on basic processes and equipment as needed.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Prior experience in **GMP manufacturing** , **pharma/biotech** , or **vial inspection** .
+ Familiarity with **SAP** , **DeltaV** , **EBR** , or **LIMS** is a plus.
+ Comfortable with **metric system calculations** , measurements, and process documentation.
+ Ability to read and follow technical instructions and batch records accurately.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ **High school diploma or GED** with at least **1 year of work or military experience** , **OR**
