Production Manager

This is a key role that reports directly to the Director of Operations and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production to ensure efficiency, safety, and profitability.

Responsibilities

The Production Manager will:
  • Supervise the timely completion of all projects, implement process improvements, and coordinate production activities to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Achieve manufacturing goals by clearly communicating job expectations to both hourly and salaried employees, and by planning, monitoring, and evaluating production results.
  • Lead and support employees through coaching, counseling, discipline, and mediation, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Maintain workflow by monitoring each step of the production process, observing control points and equipment, and making necessary adjustments to meet daily targets.
  • Assign personnel to tasks, establish priorities, monitor progress, resolve issues, evaluate performance, and conduct orientation and training.
  • Ensure the safety of all employees by enforcing safety policies, procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Uphold quality standards by ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively regarding equipment and machinery, and maintain a clean and safe work environment through education and direction of personnel.

The Production Manager will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for continuous improvement and drive operational excellence across the facility.

Qualifications

To be successful as a Production Manager , candidates should have:
  • A degree in Industrial Maintenance, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in the hydraulics industry (strongly preferred).
  • A proven track record of successfully leading teams and executing business initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and foster a collaborative team environment.

+ Responsible for preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as required.
+ Responsible for emergency repairs and adjustments while the line is running in a timely and efficient manner.

+ Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds minimum.

Daily QC Responsibilities:
The FTTH QC position is responsible for reviewing the Designs and W/O packages previously completed by Engineers.
In the QC process, the following items are to be verified:

+ Splice items/arrows

Daily FTTH Drafting Responsibilities:
After completing the QC function, the drafter may need to perform updates or completely redesign/draft the project. The CAD drafter performs duties to assist in creating/updating technical drawings for Telecom engineering. This includes permits, construction, fiber design, profile drawings in primarily 2D. The drafter will need to interpret, read, utilize field and QC notes, surveys, utility records, maps, online assessors, client systems, databases to draw and label plans or records. The drafter will need to identify problems, conflicts, inconsistencies to solve challenges that satisfy internal and external stakeholders. The drafter will need to complete with great accuracy, W/O packages. The drafter will need to be resourceful, accurate and develop experience/knowledge in software and engineering, problem solving, technical troubleshooting. Responsive and proactive communication through email, messages, voice calls, video calls, phone calls to access the knowledge of others. Ability to type, remember many commands and requirements, stay organized and ability to break down large problems into smaller steps will be needed.
Qualifications:
+ Strong computer skills on a Windows/PC platform including but not limited to Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
+ Strong ability to learn quickly, problem solve, focus for long periods of time.
+ Ability to multi-task and strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Must be analytical, detail oriented, and conscientious.
+ Must have a high level of initiative and follow-up support capability working with limited supervision.
+ AutoCAD experience
+ Frogs experience preferred
+ Prior Site tracker experience a plus
+ Science, Technology, Engineering, Math Degree preferred but not required.
+ Experience with surveying, maps, computer-aided graphical design preferred but not required.
