This position is for an Experience Production Chemist, who will in the Formulation department to formulate production pools and intermediates utilizing biologicals and chemicals of varying properties and characteristics in compliance with established GMP processes and procedures.

How You'll Make An Impact:

  • Responsible for bulk formulating diagnostic reagents of medium complexity including custom recipes and intermediates in accordance with approved written procedures and policies.
  • Leads/trains team members on the manufacturing of low to medium complexity products
  • Participate in the planning, scheduling and organizing product teams to meet production deadlines.
  • Responsible for completing production documentation and maintaining quality records to GDP/GMP standards.
  • Monitors manufacturing processes and performs adjustments when necessary to meet required yields.
  • Performs Variance review and makes necessary notations for process orders for Supervisors and Finance.
  • Perform data entry and inventory control utilizing the ERP database.
  • Must be able to perform production data trending
  • Supports assigned products and serves as a primary technical resource or subject matter expert for various departments/ groups.
  • Able to lead/perform Root Cause Analysis, Quality Notification and implement Corrective Actions to improve product quality or process efficiency.
  • Participates in/leads continuous improvement projects by analyzing and interpreting experimental data using Lean Six Sigma.
  • Assists with generating new procedures and working closely with R&D and product transfer teams.
  • Participates in the training and development of new products.
  • Assists in the building/modifying product recipes and Bill of Materials.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Bio-Chemistry.
  • 4-7 years working in a general manufacturing environment formulating products in the areas of biological sciences, life sciences, or an equivalent
  • Experience working in a GMP manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must be experienced in using ERP systems- SAP a plus.
  • Experience leading teams or projects.
  • Independently leads and coordinates work in a production team and make decision of moderate scope.
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Laboratory Practices.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools- Excel and Word.
  • Strong working knowledge of laboratory environment, materials and equipment.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $75,500 - $103,900 at the time of posting. Job Description
  • Must be interested to learn to work with and mechanically manipulate small relay components under 10X-20X stereo magnification scope using small tools, tweezers, flat shims, and seal force gram gauges.
  • Must learn to operate and master relay adjust-test station operations to adjust relay electrical performance parameters by mechanically manipulating and tuning of contact brackets, movable blades, contact gap, pick-up/drop-out voltages, contact bounce & lag, contact pressures & over travel.
  • Must learn how to magnetize relay permanent magnets and set transfer voltages at adjusting stations to within required specifications, and if required re-magnetize and fine tune relay performance parameters to within build specifications.
  • Must study and familiarize self with adjusting process and procedures of wide variety of custom and QPL relay topologies, and fabrication of some assemblies for these relays, including contact assembly, 1st and 2nd framing, vacuum baking process, pressing the enclosure, and preliminary electrical testing of the relays.
  • Must learn to perform Micro-clean process as required and applicable to space grade relays.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and or 5+ years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have excellent hand/eye coordination.

Preferred Qualifications:

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all overseas (mainly China) production activities to ensure the quality components are produced and shipped on time, while leading world-class manufacturing practices. This position plays a key role in developing long-term strategic plans related to Employee Engagement, Customer Service, manufacturing learning, and infrastructure to achieve targeted financial objectives and maintain competitive performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in and contribute to the SOP process to establish and enable supply-side resources required to execute production plans.
  2. Work directly with factories and customer service to develop detailed production plans to meet delivery deadlines.
  3. Follow up on all products processed through the factory, proactively managing upstream and downstream product movements to ensure smooth flow.
  4. Ensure on-time delivery, quality, and profitability.
  5. Ensure all internal control documents are properly utilized within departments and across related functions.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

Educational/Training: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.

Experience: At least 5 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven self-starter with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, develop action plans, and follow through.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing demands.
  • Knowledge of Chinese language is a plus.
