As a Production Control IV, you'll develop and maintain detailed production schedules for larger and/or more complex programs to establish the build sequence, duration and lead times of fabrication, assembly, installation, test and other manufacturing operations to meet completion dates defined by the contract. You'll prepare and release production work packages, identify, troubleshoot and provide solutions to problems, and provide scheduling alternatives and workarounds. You will assure availability and timeliness of materials and parts required to support established schedules, record weekly status of program progress, setbacks, establish future goals, and close out work packages.

This individual will report directly to the Manager of Advanced Manufacturing Systems and will work closely with the Lead Process Engineer. The Production Operator will play a central role in operating production equipment, coordinating labor, and ensuring parts are completed and delivered on schedule. They will also perform first-line maintenance and troubleshooting and escalate appropriately to engineering and facilities teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced technician who thrives in fast-paced environments, learns quickly, and takes full ownership of production goals and equipment usage. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Production & Labor Coordination: Operate and monitor all critical production machinery related to ceramic core manufacturing. Ensure consistent part flow and successful completion of daily and weekly production targets. Coordinate labor and operator assignments across shifts to meet changing throughput demands. Adjust shift schedules and task assignments in real time based on demand and machine availability. Equipment Operation & Troubleshooting: Become a power user of production equipment, executing setup, operation, and routine maintenance per SOPs. Document and perform initial troubleshooting for machine alarms or faults; escalate unresolved issues. Record and analyze machine availability, downtime causes, and performance deviations. Data Logging & Process Oversight: Track and review process data using internal production tracking and data logging tools. Maintain traceability records, operator logs, and material movement logs. QUALIFICATIONS Experience: 2+ years in technician or production leadership roles in complex manufacturing environments. Experience coordinating production teams or serving as a de facto shift lead. Demonstrated success delivering throughput goals in a high-mix or highly scheduled production setting. Education: Highschool Diploma or GED Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating and maintaining advanced machinery. Familiarity with production data logging systems (PLC HMIs, SCADA, or historian tools). Competence in troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, and sensor-based faults. Basic Excel skills for reviewing logs, summarizing downtime, and calculating throughput. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and tiered meeting systems. • Ensure cleanliness and organization of department work areas per SOP and supervisor guidance.

• There are 12-hour shifts 6am-6pm, and 6pm-6am.
• The operators actually get 4 hours of guaranteed overtime each pay period, and every other weekend off.
