We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our pharmaceutical production team. This role involves learning and executing various manufacturing processes in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Responsibilities include handling equipment for dispensing, blending, granulation, compression, encapsulation, and coating of oral solid dose products.
Job Description
- Clean and sanitize product rooms and equipment including mills, mixers, ovens, granulators, and more.
- Operate granulation and coating equipment, air handling units, and related systems.
- Verify and document weight of powder blends received from the Blending Department.
- Perform product compression or encapsulation as outlined in Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR).
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with GMP and BMR standards.
- Operate encapsulation equipment such as IMA Matic 90/150, Adapta encapsulators, and Precisa weight sorters.
- Operate tablet compression equipment including Kilian S520, Syntheses 500, dedusters, and hardness testers.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of department work areas per SOP and supervisor guidance.
- Follow all safety policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Complete required training programs successfully and participate in ongoing learning.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a GMP-regulated environment, preferably in Oral Solid Dose manufacturing.
- Basic computer proficiency and effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong math skills including operations with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to interpret and follow detailed instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram formats.
- Comfortable using computerized systems for training and operational tasks .
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- $21 per hour
- We have 4 crews; 2 day crews which are A crew & B crew and 2 night C crew & D crew.
- There are 12-hour shifts 6am-6pm, and 6pm-6am.
- The operators actually get 4 hours of guaranteed overtime each pay period, and every other weekend off.
