As a Production Assistant for alternate formats, you will play a pivotal role in the production processes of materials designed for individuals with diverse sensory needs, including but not limited to braille, large print, audio, eText, and conventional print. You will be responsible for ensuring quality control, and maintaining efficiency in the production of alternate format materials.
Candidates must be willing to work evening shifts IE: 3 pm – 11 pm.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PRODUCTION:
- Assist in the day-to-day production and quality control activities to meet client Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) while meeting all Quality Control requirements.
- Become familiar with basic Braille characters to assist in quality checks when producing this media.
- Ensure customer order processing and shipments are completed as quickly as possible upon receipt.
- Contribute to the creation of SOP’s (Standard Operating Practices). The plan is to include sign-off by all production employees when developed and a sign-off annually.
- Thorough knowledge of the Payment Card Industry (PCI) security standards. Ensure you are fully compliant with the relative security standards and processes.
- Assist in maintaining DRP requirements for production.
- Assist in the training of new staff as required.
- Assist supervisor to ensure all customer production reports are accurate and provided on-time.
SKILLS
- Knowledge of alternate format rules and guidelines for producing Braille, Large Print, Audio, and e-Text.
- Self-directed, with the ability to effectively plan your own activities to achieve customer SLA’s.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
- Excellent computer application skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

A Composite Technician will perform a wide variety of hands-on tasks to support a departmental composite manufacturing process, to include kitting, molding, layup, fabrication, and assembly.
Essential Functions
- Perform manufacturing tasks associated with kitting, grinding, sanding, bonding, molding and/or assembly with a variety of composite materials.
- Act upon and perform work from prints, charts, sketches, work orders, documents, and verbal communications.
- Basic knowledge of reading blueprints and tape measure reading (in American Standard). Follows engineering and manufacturing specifications and orders.
- Cuts parts or materials to size.
- Follows methods and sequences depending on compounds, contours, and lay-up transitions.
- Utilize a variety of hand tools, grinders, sanders, files, Dremel’s, and drills in the fabrication of composite parts.
- Operates power tools and other equipment necessary to accomplish job assignment.
- The Composite Technician will work with and around a variety of chemicals and follow all OSHA standards regarding personal protection equipment.
- Maintains a neat and organized workspace resulting in a shop floor free from clutter or debris.
- Participates in continuous improvement of cell processes and LEAN manufacturing principles.
- Participates in on-the-job training to enhance skills related to job function, quality, safety, LEAN manufacturing, and other topics, as necessary.
- Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements. Promotes and maintains a safe work environment; reinforces safety standards and sets the example for PPE, safety training and safe work practices.

Job Summary:
The Production Scheduler/Planner is responsible for maintaining and optimizing production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. · Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand, equipment availability, or staffing.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling, planning, and overall production efficiency.
