Job Description:
Following established procedures and working under supervision, perform a variety of job duties in the packaging. Heavy lifting may be required. Must be able to work on short notice. Must maintain accurate records. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

1) Review pertinent information with the previous shift i.e. mechanical issues etc.
2) Straighten the product prior to the slicer
3) Monitor slicer infeed to prevent jam-ups
4) Take thrift or damaged product off the line
5) Rack off product if line breaks down
6) Pack the product into baskets in accordance with the specifications
7) Remove all baskets that are broken and store in pre-determined area
8) Assist the Packaging Attendant when possible
9) Clean equipment
10) Remove trash as necessary
11) Neatly and accurately fill out all necessary documentation (Ex. HACCP - CTS)
12) Maintain a safe neat and clean work area accordance with GMP and good house keeping practices
13) Communicate with co-workers and supervisors
14) Follow all JSA guidelines

+ Performs troubleshooting on equipment failures within scope of training, as required.

+ Maintains a clean, orderly, and efficient work environment and ensures sufficient operating supplies are available as needed.

12-hour shifts (2-2-3 schedule)
5 PM - 5 AM and 5 AM - 5 PM

Starting at $24.67/Hour with the ability to earn up to three $ increases within the first year of employment!
Essential Duties
? Responsible for operation of equipment in a safe manner to prevent damage to equipment and to prevent injuries to yourself and others.
? Must wear all safety and health protective equipment as specified. Must follow all safety rules.
? Must be able to safely load and unload material using a fork-lift.
? Must keep accurate operational records as directed.
? Must participate fully as a member of the machine crew during downtime and start-up, product changes, operational problems, clean up, etc.

**Position Overview:**
As a **_Production Technician_** , youre a member of a production crew, reporting to a supervisor of an assigned production area. You will contribute to the success of Ball by observing operating principles of all assigned equipment and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for your area of responsibility.
The Tampa plant is high-volume, fast-paced 24/7-365 days/year manufacturing environment. Our crews work4 days on/4 days off, rotating from days to nights and back every 4 weeks (6a-6p/6p-6a)
Follow all 5S standards and job safety practices and policies including but not limited to food safety; personal protective equipment; emergency procedures, etc.
+ Operate, adjust, and repair high-speed production equipment to meet plant production goals.
+ Assist with performing preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
+ Inspect aluminum for proper quality standards and customer specifications.
+ Build positive relationships across designated team by effectively collaborating, communicating, and upholding ethical integrity.
**Required Experience and Skills:**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent education.
+ 1-year minimum experience in a mechanical job-related field with demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills.
+ Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools.
**Preferred Experience and Skills:**
+ 2 years work experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
