As a **Production Welder** with John Deere Thibodaux, you will:
Perform weld operations in a production environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork. Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following:
+ Weld parts and sub-assemblies to specification using various welding processes.
+ Adjust voltage, heat, pressure, and speed to maintain quality.
+ Read and comprehend work instructions and follow established procedures.
+ Utilize manufacturing tools to record data and keep records for quality and maintenance.
+ Check results for conformance to specifications and make necessary corrections.
+ Operate power driven equipment such as forklifts and industrial trucks to move material, parts, and equipment.
+ Use various types of tools and equipment to perform work - including but not limited to CNC / robotic welding equipment, safety equipment, manual arc welders, grinders, hoists, fixtures, and applicable hand and power tools.
+ Lubricate, check, and clean work equipment and tooling.
+ Assist and support other team members.
+ Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
+ Must have at least one of the following:
+ High School Diploma or G.E.D.
+ National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
+ At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience
+ Must have a weld certification (or equivalent)orat least 6 months of experience welding in a manufacturing environment.
+ Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing of repetitive actions.

Operate and maintain systems associated with a Legacy Steam facility, Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) facility and Simple Cycle facility while demonstrating safety awareness and direction that will continuously improve performance by employees and contractors through the use and strict adherence to procedures and processes.
**JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Maintain regulatory compliance and be proactive in dealing with all agencies and avoid reportable violations
+ Required participation in the multi-year Production Technician multi skill progression plan to develop key skills in maintenance and operations. Upon completion the employee should have the desire, aptitude and ability to meet board operator qualification
+ Conduct and participate in job briefings and safety meetings. Be responsible for Contractor Safety and conduct Contractor Safety Orientations as needed
+ Applies understanding and knowledge of plant systems, burner controls (where applicable), turbine controls, data acquisition, process controls, regulating devices, personal computers, troubleshooting, etc.
+ Operational duties include, but not limited to, operating the control board, making operational rounds, performing PM/PDM activities, HRSG water chemistry, CEMS monitoring and calibrations
