Due to expansion and growth, a non-automotive, non-union, consumer products manufacturer is seeking a Production Manager to lead start-up and lead production in their injection molding facility. You will be tasked with meeting production goals, creating a successful schedule, coaching and motivating your team and making your mark in an entrepreneurial role. This position will report to an off-site Operations Manager and will be responsible for the following tasks:


  • Lead, develop, motivate and coach direct and indirect reports
  • Maintain safety, quality, delivery and cost within the site
  • Create, update and modify work instructions
  • Ensure that processes and procedures are in place and continuously work on improvements
  • Work with management on maintaining P&L and budget goals
  • Champion root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Create the production schedule based on forecasts and management review
  • Lead meetings, complete reporting and communicate daily with off-site upper-level management on the plant status
  • Make daily decisions based on data analysis
  • Ensure materials are on hand to meet production goals
  • Oversee multiple projects at a time
  • Support a positive work environment committed to meeting production KPIs
  • Maintain and support the company QMS system
  • Other duties as directed by management


You will start up first shift production and will grow the plant to a multi-shift operation. Qualified candidates should be flexible with their work requirements and be willing to wear many hats! The hired Production Manager will have excellent communication skills, be willing to take on multiple projects, have excellent problem-solving skills, be hands-on with all tasks, make decisions based on data, have an ambitious drive and bring consistency to their management style. This is a team environment! Candidates will be on the manufacturing floor up to 100% of the day!


REQUIREMENTS for the Production Manager - Injection Molding:

1. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED

2. At least ten years of injection molding experience, with at least 3-5 in a similar production management role

3. Experience overseeing direct and indirect reports

4. Experience in finding and implementing continuous improvement initiatives

5. ERP system experience

6. Microsoft Office skills, including strong MS Excel skills


Skills preferred but NOT required:

1. Non-union supervision

2. The ability to process plastics

3. Scheduling experience

4. QMS experience, such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, etc.

5. Mechanical aptitude or maintenance background

**This role in summary**
Currently, we are seeking qualified Production Operators to join our Assembly Organization on 3rd shift.
+ The starting salary is $0.50/hour
+ 1.00/hour shift premium for the midnight shift.
+ Paid time off (PTO) up to 120 hours in the first year (prorated on start date)

**Your responsibilities will include**

+ Continuously stand or walk (up to 12 hours per day)
+ Bend, squat, and lift up to 35lbs frequently
+ Work on a moving/conveyor style production line or stabilized workstation
+ Assemble and install parts by hand or using tools/equipment.
+ Crating and packaging of materials, parts, products etc.
**Minimum requirements**
+ 2-years of consistent work history
+ 3-months of manufacturing experience (consecutive)
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
+ Possess a high school diploma or GED;
+ Be subject to and successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
+ Motivated to work as a team player who takes ownership of their work in a safety-minded environment
Must provide a resume
**Preferred skills and experiences**
+ 6 - months manufacturing experience, assembly preferred;
+ Associates Degree

Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, along with the direct day to day activity flow management of the Shift Foreman, the operator’s primary function is to effectively package the finished goods product to shipping specifications while maintaining a clean working environment. Additionally, the operator is to fully support other tea m members to ensure maximum efficient operations.

  • Doff strapping coils.
  • Palletize strapping coils to packaging specification.
  • Perform quality checks/weigh coils.
  • Monitor winder arms/settings to ensure finished goods quality is achieved.
  • Dispose low quality strap or coils through grinder utilization.
  • Consistently support teammates to ensure maximum production efficiency.
  • Notify Technician of out of specification product
  • Actively support positive work environment initiatives (cleanliness + positive attitude)
