A Brief Overview

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of production operations within the facility.   • Oversee new product launches and trials, ensuring smooth integration into production. Assist with costing and planning for new product opportunities, ensuring they meet cost and quality expectations.
  • Conduct shift huddles with production and maintenance leads to address potential issues and ensure proactive planning. Strive to maintain 100% schedule adherence and resolve any production delays promptly.
  • Work closely with the Quality team to investigate production issues and lead the development of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
  • Serve as a temporary replacement for staff in their absence. Perform other duties as assigned to support production operations.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required) or

Join our team as a Senior Production Technician! In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting manufacturing operations and ensuring the success of our Rocket Motors production process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Production Manager and other technicians to support the production and delivery of Rocket Motors through factory acceptance.
  • Utilize your skills in hardware assembly, troubleshooting, and repair during manufacturing operations.
  • Expertly handle hand tools, assembly tooling, and general manufacturing equipment.
  • Follow documented build instructions with precision and clarity.
  • Promote a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with safety procedures and conducting regular audits to maximize work area safety and efficiency.
  • Organize and prioritize work activities to meet on-time delivery goals while managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Lead 5S initiatives and continuous improvement activities, sharing insights to enhance the building process.
  • Conduct daily transactions in computer production systems such as MES, NetSuite, JIRA, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Assist with weekly production reporting, addressing blockers, risks, and needs in teamwork.
  • Navigate the escalation path for floor issues and see them through to resolution.
  • Train and support new operators, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
  • Complete and maintain required certification training as necessary.
  • Cultivate a collaborative team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Maintain a consistent and reliable work schedule, bringing enthusiasm and urgency to your tasks each day.
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of daily activities and production progress.
  • Perform Work Verifications to ensure quality and accuracy in work done by peers and subordinate technicians.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in production-oriented manufacturing or as an electro-mechanical technician.
  • Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP and MES systems (NetSuite, JIRA, SQL, Tableau).
  • Comprehensive understanding of the product life cycle, LEAN manufacturing principles, and change management (ECOs).
  • Ability to interpret various technical documents including mechanical drawings, work instructions, and electrical schematics.
  • Dependable, organized, detail-oriented, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as engineering, business, or applied science.
  • Experience in safety and quality-critical industries like aerospace, chemicals, or energetics.
