Summary:
Organize, perform and be able to complete the following job functions as called on by the Plant Manager.
Job Functions:
- Operate Bulk Feed manufacturing system
- Climbing ladders and working at heights on top of facility
- Perform scale weight test weekly
- Load – unload trucks in both load out area and, in the warehouse,
- Wait on customers as needed
- Ensure bulk commodities are flowing from bulk bins
- Perform daily inspections of Fork Trucks
- Perform minor maintenance on equipment including lubrication and adjustments
- Clean control room daily
- Clean mill on regular schedule
- Operate and monitor bulk receiving system
- Test incoming ingredients, ie: Corn = % moisture % BCFM, properly record results
- Unload inbound trucks as necessary
- Unload rail cars as necessary
- Insure bulk commodities are flowing into correct bulk bins
- Perform daily bin inventory and rail car inventory
- Perform daily inspect of Front End Loader
- Clean receiving shed & office daily
- Assist with any other tasks as requested or assigned by management
Physical and Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Basic understanding of computers, math comprehension and previous plant environment is helpful
- Mechanical aptitude in prior work history.
- Must have the ability to climb ladders, lift up to 75 lbs, bend, kneel, stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, work with heights, and work long hours in harsh environments (hot, cold temperatures and a dusty conditions).
- Exhibit good work habits, including excellent attendance and individual productivity
Requires the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, medical questionnaire and a background check.

Working under the Bakery Supervisor's guidance, the Starter Room Operator is accountable for precisely preparing white and organic starters according to established recipes. This includes carefully feeding the starter tanks, closely monitoring the fermentation and cooling processes to ensure they adhere to specified parameters, and managing the received mother starter quantity. The Operator also performs Cleaning in Place (CIP) procedures for starter tanks, dosing stations, and liquefiers. The goal is to create a homogeneous mixture of mother, flour, and water, achieving the desired characteristics for producing high-quality products that meet standards.
Responsibilities
- Feed white and organic starter mothers, and other required ingredients.
- Prepare and mix starter ingredients according to specified mixing times and temperatures.
- Continuously monitor and control starter mixing process temperatures.
- Visually and physically verify starter texture to ensure it meets target characteristics.
- Continuously monitor and control CIP chemical inventory.
- Accurately and promptly enter data into SAP.
- Verify the accurate functioning of weight scales.
- Accurately and promptly document mixing data.
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of starter room equipment.
- Accurately identify and weigh mother batch containers as required.
- Maintain the starter rooms in a clean and organized condition.
- Lift and handle 50 lb. flour bags consistently for short periods.
- Monitor starter on the floor to ensure it does not exceed its use time.
- Ensure all starter mixing documents are completed at the end of the shift and filed appropriately.
- Adhere to GMPs and Health and Safety rules outlined in the employee handbook, including:
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment in assigned production areas and workstations.
- Immediately reporting any unsafe conditions, incidents, or injuries to a supervisor or lead hand.
- Using all required personal protective equipment.
- Adhere to and ensure compliance with food safety practices, including:
- Maintaining all tools in good repair and reporting any broken, damaged, or missing tools to a supervisor or lead hand (do not discard damaged tools).
- Following all GMPs, including maintaining personal hygiene, handwashing/sanitizing, and cleaning up spills (ingredients, water, debris, wood, etc.).
- Report any issues or deviations to supervisors, including immediately reporting any potential contamination or suspicious activity to line leadership.
- Reporting any unusual people or behaviors to a supervisor as a part of food security protocols.
- Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.

Position Overview:
The Production Technician is responsible for all aspects of plant processing from post-crop harvest through packaging and labeling of the final product ready for customer sale as outlined by the management team and SOPs. These responsibilities include post-harvest tasks including the drying and curing stage all the way through trimming, packaging, and labeling the product. This position works in a timely manner and strives to increase productivity and acts with professional regard to the management and use of all production facilities and processing equipment.

Major Areas of Responsibility include:
•Assists in the post-harvest plant processing of cannabis.
•Fan leaf removal, harvest, drying, trimming, curing, weighing, packaging, labeling, recording, and inspection of product in addition to cleaning and sanitation.
•Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
•Transport harvested plants to drying room and hang to be dried.
•Hand trims and/or operates a trimming machine to remove excess plant material.

Who You Are:
As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for the packaging and labeling of the finished goods at our cultivation and manufacturing centers. You will be responsible for the production of a variety of finished products including packaged, dried flower, pre-rolls, vape cartridges and vape pens, and infused products. Our production team is expected to maintain quality control measures to ensure high-quality products and will carry out day-to-day tasks including prepping, packaging, and labeling per standard operating procedures set by Curaleaf and our production management.

- Weigh and prepare ingredients as per production schedules and instructions.
