We are seeking a dynamic Director of Professional Services to lead our Americas Professional Services team within the Digital Science and Automated Solutions business. In this role, you will be responsible for driving innovation and implementing transformative initiatives that align with our business objectives. You will cultivate strong customer relationships, proactively engage with clients, and expertly resolve customer issues. **A day in the Life:**
+ Trusted partner and advisor to regional and global sales, marketing, product, services, support teams, and our customers, to drive and sustain business growth in the region.
+ Lead the regional, multi-national and multi-cultural Asia Pacific services team to deliver business results while optimizing for skills, efficiency, utilization, and margin.
+ Effectively handle customer relationships, proactively engage with customers, and successfully resolve customer issues.
+ Partner with regional sales leadership through all aspects of the sales process to provide timely input into deal structure, delivering well written statements of work and effort estimates, articulating clear and concise responses to customer needs/ tender documents, and effectively anticipating and handling objections.
+ Achieve Revenue and Profitability Goals.
+ Work with closely with Support, Product Management, and Engineering to assure a positive customer experience. Represent services in the quality management representatives' team.
+ Manage customer satisfaction concerns and complaints effectively, prioritizing issues based on customer impact and other factors.
+ Track and report on all key performance indicators for services, including but not limited to accurate forecasting of services invoicing, effective delivery capacity planning, and resource utilization across internal and partner personnel.
+ Contribute to driving continuous process improvements while ensuring compliance with existing quality management system & business processes.
+ Facilitate team and customer meetings effectively; deliver engaging, educational presentations both to internal and external audiences.
+ Work closely with the global services organization to implement a consistent Implementation Methodology.
+ Build and lead a strong, motivated team through management and personal development of its members, investing adequately in hiring, training, and career development of team members.
+ Act as critical issue points for department processes.
+ Responsible for the timely, accurate billing of service time and expenses.
+ Lead the ongoing evolution of the Global Services organization - attracting and retaining the best talent, simplifying our delivery processes while improving quality, adopting modern tools to support services operations.
+ Drive and sustain a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and innovation by engaging with our broader teams and customers to further enhance our product and solutions portfolio, with a focus on accelerating time to value for customers through high quality services delivery and creating reusable services & solutions assets.
**Keys to Success:**
**Education**
+ Bachelors or master's degree in CS, Engineering, Life Sciences, or equivalent.
+ At least 10 years of proven experience in building and leading regional enterprise software services teams for life and laboratory sciences markets across the Americas.
**Experience**
+ Experience with software and services for clinical diagnostics desirable.
+ Proven experience and leadership leading a regional, multi-national informatics software services team to deliver results across customers in the Americas.
+ Experience spanning all aspects of enterprise software services - preferably in life and laboratory science informatics - from pre-sales business analysis and effort estimations through project delivery oversight and successful handover to support.
+ General awareness of trends and market conditions, needs, and key players in the life and laboratory informatics space is helpful.
+ Prior experience in delivering shared objectives in a matrix organization in a global environment, including internal teams and external vendors/ partners.
+ Strong business acumen.
+ Customer and results focused, with a demonstrated track record of consistently getting things done.

UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital is hiring several Professional Staff Nurse (BSN) in a casual status to help support the Psychiatric Emergency Service (PES) for its Oakland location. Western Psychiatric Hospital's Psychiatric Emergency Service (PES) is a Psychiatric emergency room that sees over 13,000 patients annually. It is the pulse of the hospital and a busy hub where patients from all over travel to receive an evaluation from a team of experts in the field. The PES is a multidisciplinary team that collaborates to determine the best possible and most appropriate disposition for the patient and their family. The PES serves as a resource across UPMC and the behavioral health network for psychiatric care and consultation.

The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and a member of the care delivery team and is responsible to set the standards for the level and quality of care. In this role you have responsibility, authority and accountability for the provision of nursing care and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members.

BSN level candidates will be considered for this role The title and pay rate (minimum rate for BSN is $36.00) for these positions may vary depending on nursing education level and years of nursing experience.

$5,000 sign-on bonus available for nurses with over one (1) year of experience with a two-year work agreement for Full Time Positions ( 7,500 for Part Time positions)

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

UPMC approved national certification preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse either in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire. Graduate nurses must complete licensure examination within FOUR MONTHS of hire or within one year of graduation, whichever comes first. The PES is a multidisciplinary team that collaborates to determine the best possible and most appropriate disposition for the patient and their family. The PES serves as a resource across UPMC and the behavioral health network for psychiatric care and consultation.

The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and a member of the care delivery team and is responsible to set the standards for the level and quality of care. In this role you have responsibility, authority and accountability for the provision of nursing care and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members.

+ Critical thinking skills necessary to exercise and to lead others in application of the nursing process. Mobility and visual manual dexterity.

+ Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting and positioning of patients.

**Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**

UPMC approved national certification preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse either in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire. Graduate nurses must complete licensure examination within FOUR MONTHS of hire or within one year of graduation, whichever comes first.
