The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant to join our team
at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you'll work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS
solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You'll be a key player in driving customer
success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
You will lead customer-focused project teams as a technical leader and perform hands-on development of Data &
Analytics solutions with exceptional quality.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience leading technical teams and hands-on experience focused on data or software engineering, with a strong understanding of distributed data processing.
- 8+ years of experience designing and building scalable, highly available data solutions, including ETL/ELT pipelines, data quality, and monitoring processes.
- 5+ years of experience and proficiency in SQL, Python, and at least one additional programming language (e.g., Java, Scala, etc).
Preferred Qualifications

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Database Delivery Consultant to help customers implement database transformations and realize business opportunities. You will collaborate with our customers and partners on key engagements and will develop and deliver proof-of- concept projects, technical workshops, and support implementation projects in order to migrate customer environments to AWS cloud based database platforms. Our professional services engagements will focus on customer solutions such as high volume mission critical OLTP/OLAP environments, batch data processing, designing and deploying future state petabyte-scale data warehouse service and building and/or designing reference configurations to enable our customers and influence AWS RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB and Redshift adoption. The databases team provides direct to customer, back office and packaged delivery consulting services to customers remotely from a centralized location. As Director of Delivery for AWS Professional Services (ProServe) North America, you'll shape how our consultants deliver solutions to strategic customers across the region. You will be responsible for delivery excellence which includes leading our delivery strategy, governance, and managing capacity across AWS ProServe North America.
This executive role combines technical leadership with program management, requiring you to drive the regional strategy while ensuring excellence in customer engagement delivery. On the technical side, you'll oversee reviews, implement new technologies, and influence service roadmaps. Programmatically, you'll manage stakeholder relationships, mitigate delivery risks, and drive successful customer outcomes. The role requires collaboration with key partners, integrators, software vendors, and managed service providers externally and global teams internally to help customers succeed in large, complex engagements.

- 5+ years of experience and proficiency in SQL, Python, and at least one additional programming language (e.g., Java, Scala, etc).
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS experience preferred, with proficiency in a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation)
- AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) preferred
- Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python)
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences with the ability to lead technical teams in customer projects
- Strong experience with distributed frameworks (e.g. Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Presto, Flink, S3, HDFS, DBs) and a solid understanding of JVM or similar runtime. Experience designing and building data governance and data protection mechanisms
- Experience building applications using Generative AI tools and technologies (LLMs, Vector Stores, Orchestrators such as LangChain, Prompt Engineering)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
