The ideal candidate will possess deep technical skill and relevant project experience in at least one of the following focus areas:

The candidate will also be able to deploy fit for purpose workload in a Hybrid Cloud infrastructure, evolve from monolithic application to Cloud-Native API Microservices, and embrace an enterprise-wide DevOps discipline to deliver application faster.
**Main Responsibilities:**
+ Works on complex project scope with minimal direction from the technical lead and with Customer/SI nominated representatives to accomplish assigned tasks.
+ Contributes to design for specific deliverables and assists in the deployment of Rocket Software products
+ Contribute to implement new solutions under the direction of a Solution Architects
+ Create proof of concept / proof of value technology analysis and pilots.
+ Conduct external and internal technical presentations/trainings to peer groups.
+ Uses and contributes to technical forums within the Rocket Software environment and local professional communities and technical user groups.
+ Applies own subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common technical issues.
+ Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action
+ Participates as part of a team and maintains good relationships with team members and customers.

**Expected Qualification and Soft Skills:**
+ 7+ years of relevant technical experience
+ Excellent communication / customer service skills / confident telephone manner
+ Proactive and able to work under pressure
+ Experience in complex IT project implementations, customizations and or maintenance
+ Must have an analytical mind set to analyze test result and facilitate defect resolution
+ Organized and methodical, dealing with numerous tasks.
+ Fluent in written and verbal English.

**Technical skills:**
Technical skills must include **Rocket Enterprise Suite (Enterprise Developer, Enterprise Server) experience** and two or more of the following:
+ IBM Enterprise COBOL or PLI programming experience
+ System level experience of IBM CICS; IMS and JCL
+ Relational databases, such as IBM DB2/UDB, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.
+ Windows operating system
+ Linux/UNIX operating system
+ Knowledge of major Cloud Provider infrastructure and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloud Foundry, Docker / Kubernetes

**Desired Project Experience:**
A practical experience in any mainframe application modernization project is highly desirable. For example:
+ Experience with tools and methodologies used to migrate mainframe workloads via hardware/middleware emulation, automated code conversion, and re-platforming.
+ Experience with COBOL modernization and porting application code across platforms.
+ Familiarity with agile engineering practices like Test Automation, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), DevOps, and Test Data Management, etc.
+ Experience developing, deploying, and tuning data modernization solution for mainframe such as IMS/DB, IDMS, ADABAS and VSAM data migration

The ISR Professional Services Veterinarian will support the technical needs of the Inside Sales Representative Team and customers based in the Central, Mountain, and Pacific Time Zones. The ISR Professional Services Veterinarian will collaborate closely with the Inside Sales and the Field Development Specialist Leadership Teams to foster a strong partnership. The ISR Professional Services Veterinarian will coach sales reps on technical selling, assist in the preparation of presentations, and provide technical review of the marketing brand team's virtual resources. + Participate in virtual technical "ride-withs" and "in-services" with the sales force.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for selling products from the Omniseal Solutions portfolio (seals and polymer parts) primarily to the Aerospace industry within North America to existing and new customers. Responsible for sales cycle and customer relations for existing and prospective customers.

This role reports directly to the Business Manager. This is a remote role ideally located close to a major airport in the United States. This role with include traveling up to 50%.
Essential functions of this role include:
+ Visits prospective and existing accounts and determines specific applications for seal usage. Be a subject matter expert on customer applications to provide leadership for projects and customers.
+ Key account management of assigned strategic business customers including OEMs, Tier 1 and 2.
+ Completes technical service requests for quotations or project action requests for engineering and/or design and pricing considerations.
+ Provides technical advice on appropriate seal materials, designs and configurations to customers.
+ Communicates and presents product line and company capabilities to customers. Capable of working directly on a technical level with internal and external engineers.
+ Coordinates communication between our organization and customer engineering to see projects evolve into new business.
+ Interfaces with customers on pricing, quality and delivery information; provides product samples as required.
+ Researches and develops competitive data and potential market opportunities.
+ Negotiates complex long term contracts with strategic customers.
+ Oversees transition from contract award to project execution.
+ **BS Degree in a technical field is required** -with a minimum of 7+ year(s) sales experience. Consideration may be given to those in lieu of a technical degree with a- **non-technical bachelor's degree and 10+ years' sales experience** .
+ 7+ years' experience with B2B sales (with a focus on technical component sales is preferred).
+ Aerospace experience is highly preferred.
+ Must have ability to read blueprints and ability to interface and collaborate with Engineers on technical aspects of the product application.
+ High level of technical aptitude.
+ Proven relationship building skills with key stakeholders and commercial awareness.
+ Ability to understand the customer's business needs and identify and execute plans to deliver to them.
+ Ability to define and redefine competitive landscape in respective territory and proven contributions to new product needs.
+ Effective influencing and communication skills, with the ability to understand and explain technical concepts to different levels.
+ Excellent analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills.
+ Able to supervise other sales personnel in the field. Responsible for coaching, leading, development and training.
+ Project Leadership Skills: leadership in coordinating new customers' projects and managing timelines across the organization. Can solve difficult and sometimes complex problems.
+ Strong negotiation skills.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The bonus amount is 0-40% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
