POSITION: Program Support (Part-time, Seasonal approximately 15-20 hours/week)

STARTING RATE: $15

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provide mentorship and engage youth members in activities and programs, which enables them to develop self-confidence and reach their full potential as productive, responsible, caring citizens. Directs the planning and implementation of National Club Programs and Local Initiative Activities that will leave a positive impact on youth members, while maintaining a positive, safe environment and atmosphere at all times.

KEY ROLES (ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES):

  1. Oversee the implementation of designated Site programs and activities that support Youth Development Outcomes and program quality.
  2. Maintain Site program goals and settings that insure the health and safety of members. 
  3. Effectively communicate standards of program; ensure program areas are safe and that School and Site equipment is maintained in good working condition.
  4. Maintain the quality and expectations of Site programs on a continual basis and ensures programs/activities respond to member needs and address their gender and cultural diversity.
  5. Follow the direction and guidance given by the Site Coordinator and Program Director to ensure program quality.  
  6. Assist in the monitoring of work assigned to program volunteers, providing ongoing feedback and regular appraisal.
  7. Assist in Site record keeping and grant reporting to be sure compliance expectations are met.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times. 
  9. Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with members and staff.

  1. SUPERVISION & SAFETY
  • Must be able to supervise up to 20 youth and keep members engaged and safe during program time.
  • Provide sound and reasonable discipline to youth members at necessary times through written documentation (i.e. citation), and report to the Program Coordinator.
  • Practice and constantly be aware of safe practices like Crisis Management, Emergency Preparedness, CPR and First Aid, etc.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work space at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. EXPECTATIONS
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have valid identification.
  • Work experience with a Boys & Girls Club or other youth serving organization.
  • Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and the ability to get to and from work at the scheduled times.
  • The Club has a mandatory overtime policy when required. This could extend your workday and/or may require working on Saturdays as needed. You must be available for this type of work schedule.
  • Must have CPR/First Aid Certification upon employment (Adult, Child, Infant preferred) - Must be an in-person training, online certifications will not be accepted. 
  • Ability to organize, supervise, and reinforce positive behavior from members.
  • Must pass a background check, TB and drug test.
  • Must obtain Serve Safe Certification as applicable to the site(s).

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Instructional Aide Qualified (Paraprofessional Test Required).

  • Facilitate Subcontractor requirements (SSOWs) to correct Subcontract Category lead for assignment.

  • Attend and represent Subcontracts in Program Staff Calls, Program Mgmt Review (PMRs), EAC and forecast reviews.

  • Support Program Subcontract reporting needs

  • Runs and Analyzes Program Subcontract reports

The Program Support Associate will provide essential administrative and logistical support for convenings and capacity development programs. Working with limited supervision, this role is critical to the success of high-impact initiatives such as the Natural Capital Symposium, custom training programs held both internationally and domestically, and other strategic efforts that advance our research and outreach goals. By managing the delivery of new course agreements and ensuring the smooth execution of a broad spectrum of events, this position will directly support NatCap's mission to equip practitioners with the knowledge, tools, and networks needed to integrate natural capital approaches into decision-making.

Coordinate planning and logistics for major convenings (e.g., the biennial Natural Capital Symposium) and custom training programs, including scheduling, communications, vendor selection, contracting support, and budget monitoring.

Job Description
We are seeking a diligent Support Assistant to help with the creation and monitoring of purchase orders and receipts related to outside processing services. This role involves updating tracking metrics, expediting parts, preparing parts for inspections, and ensuring accurate shipping documentation.
Responsibilities
+ Assist with the creation and monitoring of purchase orders and receipts related to outside processing services.
+ Check the status of parts and update tracking metrics and ERP systems as needed.
+ Expedite parts and outside services as required.
+ Prepare parts for customer source inspections and assist with these inspections.
+ Assist with part marking and prepare parts for final inspection.
+ Package products to prevent damage during transportation and storage.
+ Examine shipments to ensure they meet customer and carrier requirements, export regulations, and customs compliance.
+ Ensure shipping documents are accurate and complete, and all packages are properly labeled.
+ Verify order accuracy and maintain accurate shipment records, comparing information against bills of lading and customer orders.
+ Receive, unwrap, inspect, and store incoming materials, recording counts, weights, condition, and storage locations accurately.
+ Utilize material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes to transport materials.
+ Complete appropriate paperwork in compliance with internal processes and quality procedures.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
+ Follow directions consistently and take responsibility for actions and work products.
+ Comply with manufacturing processes, work procedures, and safety guidelines.
+ Identify and minimize job hazards in collaboration with leadership.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ Attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping.
+ Self-management skills including efficiency, urgency, adaptability, and multitasking.
+ Professional written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (Forklift certification required upon employment).
