**Job Description:**
**General Summary:**
The Project Architect directs and is responsible for the development of the design work; leads in the production of technical drawings and specifications; coordinates the related work of the other disciplines; and assumes in-house construction administration duties on projects of moderate to large size and complexity.
**Essential Job Functions:**
+ Ability to manage moderate to large, complex projects.
+ Provide mentorship and embrace opportunities for learning with less experienced staff throughout the course of the project.
+ Establish the factual parameters of the design work (e.g., code, site restrictions, budget and schedule restraints); identify building systems options and related performance and cost criteria; and assist in the presentation of design documents.
+ Formulate the project work plan based on an approved scope of work. Plan mini-sheet work plans for assigned projects. Lead the execution of the various tasks identified therein.
+ Assume primary responsibility for the daily activities of the architectural project team and the progress of the work and for the technical quality of the Construction Documents (drawings and specifications).
+ Accurately produces schematic design, design development and construction documents.
+ Proficient at architectural graphic standards and construction drawing set organization and development.
+ Assist the Project Manager in adhering to the project schedule and budget identifying changes to the scope of the work, and related repercussions on project schedule and budget. Provide resource/budget forecasting upon request.
+ Advise the Manager of Architecture in the staffing requirements for projects.
+ Initiate and orchestrate the work of the entire project team (the various engineering and interiors disciplines, and other consultants), and facilitate the timely exchange of information between all project team members; assume responsibility for the coordination of all disciplines, documents, and for insuring that quality control procedures are enforced.
+ Responsible for the management of the production of construction documents.
+ Prepare written portion of addenda and bulletins relating to architectural work.
+ Perform all in-house construction administration duties: respond to RFI's, review and approve shop drawings, issue bulletins, etc.; provide field-representation services (at the request of the Project Manager or when deemed critical).
+ Possess/demonstrates thorough knowledge of company standards. Help maintain and improve office architectural standards, details and production tools.
+ Familiar with Revit model creation in accordance with company standards.
+ Familiar with Revit project set-up and workset/model management in accordance with company standards.
+ Familiar with laser scanning and point clouds.
+ Perform related duties as assigned.
**Employment Qualifications:**
**Education:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering; Master's preferred.
+ NCARB certificate required.
+ LEED Certification preferred.
+ WELL Building Certification preferred.
+ Registered Architect required.
**Experience:**
+ 15+ years related architecture experience.
**Skills/Competencies:**
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams. Familiar with BIM360/ACC.
+ Familiar with point cloud software (e.g. Autodesk Recap).
+ Excellent written and verbal communication
+ Strong attention to detail

Job Summary/Responsibilities: The Project Architect will provide technical design and documentation for a variety of interior projects. This role will be responsible for leading the development of all technical aspects and content of projects, coordinating work with all disciplines to ensure an integrated set of deliverables, and providing construction administration duties on projects of small to large size. Travel will be required. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Lead design, production, coordination, and architectural detailing as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
+ Lead and assist in coordination of engineering systems with engineers and consultants; actively partner with Design Leadership to carry through design intent; and coordinate with all other team members on project assignments and documents.
+ Monitor the technical quality of the projects by enforcing the application of QA/QC process standards and requirements while ensuring that all statutory requirements for the project are achieved.
+ Develop and maintain positive client relations throughout the life of the project.
+ Communicate project status, design intent, construction updates, and other critical information in a clear and compelling way to the owner(s), consultants, and clients.
+ Perform field site inspections to verify and document existing conditions.
+ Lead construction administration efforts inclusive of reviewing and responding to RFIs and submittals, attending OAC meetings and providing site observations.
+ Coordination with building and permitting officials.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor of Architecture or Interior Design, Interior Architecture degree from an accredited university or related field +4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
+ Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 6+ years of experience in corporate/commercial interior design or interior architecture industry with understanding of workplace projects, standards, and practices.
+ Ability to work both independently and effectively in a cross-disciplinary team atmosphere and across multiple offices.
+ Ability to prioritize and multi-task work on multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced work environment.
+ Strong technical expertise related to design and construction.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Self-motivated, client focused, and detail orientated.
+ Registered Architect/ NCARB certification.
+ LEED or WELL certification.

Job Title: Project Architect
Job Description
The Project Architect is responsible for overseeing most phases of project development, bridging all stages from inception to construction. Collaborating closely with the lead designer and Construction Project Manager during the Schematic Design phase, the Project Architect takes the lead in the Design Development phase alongside the Construction Project Manager. They work with the Architectural Project Manager and Interior Designer to translate design concepts into construction documents and serve as the main contact with the client to develop the building design during the Design Development phase. This role demands a high level of responsibility, requiring the Project Architect to assist the Lead Designer in developing creative and innovative architectural concepts and to translate those concepts to the A/E production team.
Responsibilities
+ Work closely with the project team and assist with delegation and production of tasks.
+ Lead the project team in the design development phase and use architectural techniques to interpret design concepts.
+ Review due diligence materials, including surveys, soil reports, and environmental reports.
+ Perform research, evaluation, and selection of building materials and systems.
+ Assist the lead designer in creating conceptual and schematic designs.
+ Develop preliminary plans for the owner with the project team.
+ Attend owner meetings to review plan development.
+ Attend and present at plan commission meetings.
+ Mentor less experienced staff.
+ Handle additional duties that may arise during the project cycle.
+ Support outside consultants and coordinate their work.
+ Review submittals, RFIs, and substitution requests.
+ Conduct construction observation via photos and in the field.
Essential Skills
+ Strong communication skills, with extensive interaction with clients, construction managers, and drafters.
+ Decisive decision-making abilities.
+ Technical knowledge in architectural techniques and design solutions.
+ Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Photoshop.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 10+ years of experience in project management and architectural design.
+ Ability to evaluate and apply specific architectural techniques within the project cycle.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $48.07/hr.
