Job Description
+ Analyze the activities on site for the project, determine and report on how these activities affect the results of the project (not just financial results).
+ Assist Project Manager and Senior Leadership on presentations, bid preparation, site contract clarification and attend meetings as required.
+ Assist management and the IT staff in the implementation including but not limited to company tracking system, time and attendance system and all site/client specific tracking software.
+ Assist with the development of internal & external dashboards for measurement of KPIs.
+ Create, maintain, and communicate the budget, variance to budget and variance request log weekly, monthly and annually (project related).
+ Ensure accurate forecasting, trending and measuring actuals against Key Performance Indicators (KPI) / Key Elements consistent with the project contracts. KPI including but not limited to planning, scheduling, estimating, time & cost controls, safety performance, and information management.
+ Generate and maintain reports on required frequency including but not limited to estimated vs. actual labor & materials
+ Manage Purchase Order (PO ) in company tracking system, site/client specific tracking software and accounting reports including value notifications to management and specified project personnel.
+ Perform general office work due to employee absence or increased work volume.
+ Verify and approve accounts payable activities including coding, vendor inquiries and reconcile discrepancies. Match bills to purchase orders insuring that correct items and quantities have been received while identifying and correcting all inaccuracies.

The Role
You will be responsible for overseeing the accuracy of project budgets, financial forecasts, and reports. Your work will support decision-making by project managers and senior leadership, ensuring cost control policies are followed and financial goals are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and validate project budgets and financial forecasts
- Participate in monthly Estimate at Completion (EAC) reviews
- Conduct cost variance and trend analysis

+ Oversee subcontractor expenditures, tracking costs & fees against budget. Analyze cost trends and prepare monthly accruals.

Required Qualifications:
+ 2+ years of financial analysis experience.

+ Knowledge of financial accounting as it relates to U.S. GAAP.
+ Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office Suite, including advance Excel skills.
Desired Qualifications:
+ Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint, COBRA, COGNOS, Hyperion, and Power BI.
+ Experience with standard government agency reporting requirements (NASA, DOD, FEDSIM).
+ Understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) reporting.

The PP&C Analyst is a key part of the project team, interacting with all levels of Program Management and colleagues in other functional areas. Under general supervision, the Analyst has P&L and cashflow responsibility for assigned project(s), overseeing financial activities for various contract types and sizes with minimal direct daily oversight. The position requires in-depth knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and the reporting cycle, to include experience in EAC, variance and trend analysis. The Analyst tracks and reports opportunities and risks along with project backlog and fosters a strong control and compliance environment. The position requires use of experience and problem-solving skills to identify and implement process improvements along with knowledge of contract management procedures and government contracting processes including familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

What you'll do:
* Collect and prepare data for evaluation.
* Monitor, track, analyze, forecast, and report on project budgets, estimates to complete, commitments, expenditures, project progress and productivity, work plans and schedules, projects cost at completion, WBS cost coding, subcontracts, and change management.
* Review of expenditure details, identifying incorrect charges, and commencement of the charge correction process.
* Assist in the coordination of projects from conception (feasibility) through final plan preparations.
* Provide support for project pricing.
* Printing and distribution of technical and administrative reports, assembly of monthly report packages.
* Support Project Managers with Operational Project Reviews (OPRs).
* Support Project Managers with quarterly forecast on projects.
* Provide support to Project Controls staff members as needed.
* BS or BA degree with preference given to a degree in Cost Management, Engineering, Project Management, Accounting or Finance
* Three to five years' related experience. Degree can be substitute for years of experience.
* Strong knowledge of Excel
* Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills
* Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management
* Ability to work and thrive in a team environment
