**Position Description:**
The Project Manager (PM) is the company's "management representative" to the various stakeholders on the project (e.g., owner, design team, trade partner management, AHJs, etc.) and is responsible for the safe completion of their projects within budget, on schedule, to the company's quality standards and to the customer's satisfaction. + The PM is responsible for trade partner management and issue resolution. The PM should look for opportunities to support the project schedule and ensure trade partner success.
+ Mentor, train and develop salary personnel in all aspects of their careers. Provide timely feedback and ensure that employees participate in the performance review process.

- Development and maintenance of the Project Risk Register, based on review of contract conditions, project-specific delivery requirements, client characteristics, and other projects risks.
- Prime Agreement management, including periodic Reporting, invoicing, and Change Management.
- Subconsultant and vendor commercial management and administration, including solicitation, subconsultant agreements, invoicing, payments, and Change Management.
- Proactive interface and communication with Design Management team and Discipline Leads.
- Proactive interface and communication with Corporate Risk Management, as appropriate.
- Proactive interface and communication with Corporate Financial Services, as appropriate.
- Proactive interface and communication with designated Client commercial representative, as appropriate
- Prepare and issue Contractual written communications, including Change notifications, Change Requests, responses to Claims notifications, etc. within the timeframes required by the Contract and/or required to protect Stantec's position.
- Oversight and management of Project Controls staff, in their project function/role.
- Oversight, review, and approval of periodic Project earned value assessment, cost reporting, and cost forecasting.
- Prepare External and Internal (PGC) Monthly Reports; issue following review with Design Director.
- Responsible for the formulation of the Project Monthly Commercial, Contractual and Risk Report and presentation of same at the monthly Project review.
- Responsible for ensuring contract Insurances and Bonds are in presented in accordance with the terms of the Main Contract.
- Provide active supervision, technical support, mentoring and training for subordinates.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Company procedures and systems.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Documented management experience for Alternative Project Delivery (APD) programs.

Main Responsibilities:
Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets and objectives for projects.

Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and application of standard engineering or construction techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Provides guidance to drafters/designers, engineers, craft workers, other project team members, contractors or subcontractors.
Develops and implements project resource plan and manages the staffing of assigned projects. Determines and coordinates the proper staffing within the project including identification of outside resources needed (subs/vendors) and ensures procurement processes are followed.
Clearly communicates project deadlines, assignments and objectives to project team members. Assigns work and provides direction to project staff with regard to timeliness and completion of project objectives. Coaches project staff and provides feedback to staff and to project staff's supervisors on project performance; escalates any performance issues to appropriate management and human resources.
