POWER Engineers, Member of WSP is seeking a Project Manager for our Power Delivery Project Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating and executing Power Delivery projects, managing and developing client relationships, and marketing POWER's Power Delivery services to existing and new clients in the respective region. The candidate selected for this position may work remotely full-time at a location other than a POWER-designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a POWER office for periodic meetings.
**Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities**
+ Promote company culture and manage internal and external relationships
+ Manage status reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable, and unbilled for each project
+ Collaborate with project design teams
+ Provide leadership and mentoring to the project team
+ Develop & maintain schedules, lead project status meetings with project teams, oversee budgets, participate in proposal preparation, take a leading role in client relationships

**Required Education/Experience**
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited University required engineering, engineering management, or construction management discipline OR 10+ years of professional experience in the electric power and communications industry
+ Ten (10) + years of applicable industry experience
+ Five (5) + years of relevant project management experience
+ Relevant experience includes small- to medium-scale project management, and/or project-lead engineering experience on projects
+ Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools required
+ General understanding of transmission systems required

+ Support multi-site and multi-megawatt tenant fit out projects commonly derived from Hyperscale customer requirements.
+ Work with construction managers and specialized contractors or data center integrators to develop comprehensive project budget and schedule.
+ Adhere to QTS development policies with increased focus on environmental health and safety when working in sites under active construction.
+ Identify long lead and critical path items to influence tenant fit out scope and customer decision making abilities.
+ Anticipate and understand client needs during the planning and implementation phases by continuously validating project scope.

+ Create RFPs and perform bid leveling with focus on labor resources, material availability, and OFCI/CFCI responsibilities.
+ Establish and maintain diverse supplier relationships in designated markets to drive competitiveness and value for our customers.
+ Maintain preferred stocking levels and external cost catalogs for standard fit out materials to minimize lead times and control cost variation.
+ Monitor project budgets and financial performance while keeping Management and Accounting informed of any unexpected variances.
+ Work cross functionally across QTS to identify and manage project risks by implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
+ Maintain a high level of knowledge about QTS services, including customer requirements, methods of delivery, implementation, support processes and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
+ Oversee quality assurance by performing regular on-site inspections during and upon completion of all assigned projects.
+ Facilitate effective communication with the project team and with other departments such as Sales, Development, and Facilities Operations.
+ Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.
**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Engineering, Architecture, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
+ Five or more years of experience in project management with focus in commercial construction practices, data center operations management, mission critical facilities management, or other related field.
+ Experience with various contract types, contract negotiation and management, business risk and liability handling.
+ Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies
+ US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**

+ Work with end-users, sales staff, and prime contractors to ensure a clear understanding of project scope and deliverables
+ The Project Manager helps oversee and communicate project progression from inception to completion, including design, permits, material delivery, labor schedules, and field installation
+ Develops a comprehensive project plan to meet schedules and budgets. Conducts Work in Progress meetings
+ Expected to develop working knowledge with Building Automation Systems (BAS) systems; Carrier i-Vu knowledge is a plus
+ Understands and follows all published codes, standards, and unique project specifications
+ Conveys a sense of professionalism, fairness, and concern for customers, labor, and management
+ Negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
+ Accurately forecast revenue each month by reviewing each project to estimate the value of work completed each month correctly
+ Execute all major functions required for project management, including project initiation, project planning, project execution, project monitoring, and project close-out
+ Manage the Change Order process, assuring that scope creep does not occur
+ Assure that all projects will be managed to or exceed the percentage of booked project margin
+ Assure that job safety is priority on every project.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ 5+ years of experience in project management
+ 2+ years project management in mechanical installation
+ 2+ years reading blueprints, structural drawings and understand complex building architectural, mechanical, and electrical documents.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience and/or certification in BACnet; or LEED certification
+ PMP certification or working towards PMP Certification.
+ Associates Degree in electrical engineering or project management
+ Ability to multi-task and prioritize among assignments with a strong adherence to deadlines.
+ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, both with internal and external customers.

+ 5+ year experience with Scrum/Kanban Methodologies
+ Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence
+ Flexibility to work with teams, individuals, and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
+ Experience working in a complex engineering environment with prior experience as a technical project manager
+ Experience working in a studio / human centered design approach
