Typical projects that our team executes would include updating PLC controls, rebuilding linear sorters, replacing worn components on Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems, or expanding the capacity of a shuttle system by adding aisles; work schedules are also highly variably with most onsite work happening over weekends and holidays around the clock to limit customer operational impact.

The Sr. Director of Project Management manages a department of approximately 50 Project Management Leaders and Project Managers which execute projects to achieve goals for a safe work environment, best in class customer satisfaction, outstanding employee experience and predictable financial results. This role is responsible for roughly $350M of business across 400+ active projects and reports to the Vice President of Modification and Upgrades.

The pay range for this role is estimated to be $75,000.00 - 250,000.00 at the time of posting and will be eligible for incentive compensation in accordance with company practices. What You Will do in This Role:
  • Translate the project contractual technical requirements into scheduled deliverables for the engineering teams (including design layout, firm engineering customer approval, order entry, installation drawings, emulation, and commissioning)
  • Identify needed resources across engineering teams, including external suppliers, and manage the engineering schedule across the project team to ensure on-time delivery

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $82,875 - $121,550 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will Do In This Role:

  • Translate the project contractual technical requirements into deliverables and tasks for the engineering teams (including design/layout, emulation, order entry, drawings, and commissioning)

  • Identify needed resources across engineering teams and with external suppliers and assign tasks across the project team

  • Ensure a high degree of quality of output for all deliverables and the entire solution via alignment to established standards for processes, engineering quality, and standard work

  • Identify and resolve issues that affect engineering tasks to avoid negative impact on the project

  • Monitor and manage project/team performance and ensure KPIs are met

  • Deliver the work package assigned by the Project Manager on time and within budget

  • Act as the main point of contact for project management, installation, procurement, external suppliers, manufacturing, etc. regarding all engineering deliverables

  • Ensure completion of all necessary specifications for third-party components, resale, etc. are accurate and complete; collaborating closely with ME/CE Leads as needed to ensure completion

  • Together with the SIM, provide Solutions Development input on project schedule and engineering resource estimates and availability and influence the use of standard designs

  • Align with line managers about performance, skill set, and availability of project engineering resources

  • Track engineering progress and ensuring project is pacing to schedule; align with ME/CE Leads and SAE as needed to report progress

  • Crafting project status reports, financial forecast, and schedule updates

  • Support the project manager in risk management and risk mitigation actions by documenting, escalating, and managing project risk; preparing PSR / PVRs

  • Lead technical reviews and conduct post-mortem with PM to feed continuous improvement

Work you'll do
As a DT-US Manager, you will work directly with the DT-US PMO FSS or Enabling Area Leads to leverage leading practices used within the Deloitte Businesses and/or industry to drive successful technology implementations. Responsibilities include:
+ Drives cross-functional teams in the delivery of high-risk, complex programs/projects
+ Leads program/project issue/risk management, remediation plans, and escalations across channels, studios/service areas for projects within assigned programs - responsible for providing management direction in these areas and ensuring clear communication, consideration of all factors, generation of solution alternatives, and defined actionable plans.
+ Lead and manage a diverse range of IT projects including software development, infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, system integrations, and data migrations while ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality outcomes.

Required Qualifications:
+ 6+ years of relevant experience in Project/Program Management working on large, complex, cross-functional IT initiatives utilizing a structured project management methodology and formal tools/approaches (PMBOK,Prince2, etc)
+ 3+ years of experience managing full lifecycle SAFe/Agile projects including overseeing the strategy / business case development, developing the implementation plan to support the business case, and driving the implementation of the plan to deliver the final program objectives
+ 1+ year of people management experience overseeing and mentoring numerous other PMs, Project Coordinators, etc.
+ 3+ years of project / program financial management (e.g., Planning, Forecasting, Budgeting, Business Case Development, etc.) in addition to experience in the planning, estimation, resource management, project tracking, scope control, risk and issues management as well as stakeholder relationship management.

The Industry Council Lead serves as the primary contact for specific industry councils that we support at West Michigan Works. There will be a specific lead for each industry, including health care, construction, hospitality , information technology, advanced manufacturing, and agribusiness. The primary responsibilities of this position include leadership team facilitation, workgroup coordination, communication and engagement with employers and staff, coordination of operations, network building, and project management. Responsibilities are carried out according to established procedures with latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Organize and facilitate talent council and board for industry sector, including creating notes, budgets, and agendas.
  1. Manage project committees and establish agreements around strategy and tactics for sector's projects.
  1. Coordinate workgroups, ensuring projects are managed and completed. Provide project management supervision and compile information for reports.
  1. Communicate information regarding industry talent and workforce development information and news to sector membership.
  1. Create and implement communication and engagement strategies for organization including newsletters, social media, general engagement letters and press releases in coordination with the marketing department.
  1. Maintain industry sector website, membership and distribution lists; fundraising, membership fees and registration; review of budget and maintenance of ledger; recruitment for project teams, board and events.
  1. Build networks by attending networking events and participating in panels about talent strategies; build and maintain relationships with key leaders in the network including executives and c-level staff.
  1. Coordinate industry sector activities for annual MiCareerQuest event, including coordination with employer champions, fundraising activities, recruitment of exhibitors, and planning meetings.
  1. Provide core Business Solutions services for industry sector, including recruitment assistance and training grants.
  1. Document activities in Salesforce.
  1. Prepare routine and special reports as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
