About the Role
The Consumer Promotions Manager drives the development and execution of consumer and trade promotions that support brand objectives, sales goals, and retailer partnerships. Remote within: CA, IL, NY, FL, TX.
Plan & Execute National Promotional Programs
+ Develop national and seasonal promotional programs in line with the commercial calendar, brand, and channel strategies including but not limited to consumer activations, coupons/offers, sampling, giveaways, tie-in partnerships, and 360 amplification including digital and social media
+ Manage point of sale development (e.g.,displays, premiums, neckers, case cards) from concept through to production, partnering with brand, creative agencies, vendors and operations.
+ Lead additional brand opportunities including launch kits, influencer gifting and custom point of sale .
Performance Analysis
+ Track program KPIs such as lift over baseline, ROI, compliance rates, and share outcomes with brand & sales teams.
+ Optimize future promotions based on learnings and market insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ Work with Brand Marketing to ensure promotions reinforce brand positioning.
+ Partner with Field Marketing and Sales teams.
+ Coordinate with Marketing Operations on promotional items set-up detail, production and distribution.
Trade & Market Engagement
+ Support field marketing and sales teams with sell-in tools and education on programs.
+ Support management of display incentives
+ Attend market blitzes, distributor meetings, and retailer/vendor meetings as needed.
+ Apply a strong understanding of brand positioning, objectives and strategies and can bring those elements to life in the process of program development:
+ Selecting the most compelling consumer offers and promotional mechanics within budget constraints.
+ Prioritizing which brands or SKUs receive promotional focus in alignment with commercial objectives.
+ Approving final creative & POS designs that balance brand guidelines and retailer requirements.

About you

**Position Summary**
The Consumer Engagement & Analytics team is helping lead the effort to drive improved consumer experience by partnering with key business areas across CVS Health to deliver impactful analytic products and insights. As a member of the Price and Promotion Analytics team, you will be at the forefront of delivering high visibility products for key CVS Retail strategic priorities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Lead our Price and Promotions Econometrics Center of Excellence, oversee the development of econometric and predictive models to understand localized trends, assess the competitive environment, and measure short and long- term customer impacts to optimize pricing and promotions decisions,
+ Build and manage a team of talented economists and data scientists and provide thought leadership,
+ Define and execute the roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives,
+ Act as a subject matter expert on econometrics, pricing and promotions science. Establish the standards and best practices for all price and promotions related analytics, including elasticity modeling and causal inference,
+ Stay up to date on the state-of-the-art modeling methodologies and latest research, foster a culture of excellence,
+ Solve complex problems, translate business requirements into testable hypotheses and measurable metrics,
+ Work cross functionally with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders including business partners, engineers, and other data and analytics teams. Share progress, findings, recommendations, and their business implications. **Required Qualifications**
+ Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as economics, statistics, or a related field. PhD in economics is preferred.
+ 5+ years of work experience in retail, consulting, or a related field
+ At least 3 years of experience in a manager capacity, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams,
+ Strong foundation and demonstrated experience applying statistical models and/or causal inference techniques (such as Hierarchical GLM, Double ML, synthetic control, and other quasi experimental techniques). Familiarity with surrogate models.
+ Strong Python, R, and SQL skills, proficiency in working with large datasets,
+ Experience working with a data engineering/MLOps team to productionize data science models, familiarity with version control (GitLab or GitHub), and ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, Databricks, GCP Vertex AI, etc.),
+ Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills and attention to detail. Worked in an agile environment, has the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
+ Proven experience leading multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience measuring the impact of price and promotion strategies and competitive price positions on customer purchase behavior,
+ In depth understanding of merchandising (price, promotion, assortment) concepts and metrics in retail,
+ Experience with managing large scale projects and working with multiple business stakeholders.

**Pay Range**
The typical pay range for this role is:
$130,295.00 - $284,280.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
