ABOUT THIS PROPERTY AND INSURANCE CLAIMS ADVOCATE JOB
This position follows a Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule. The role is on-site at our Upland office and may require overtime depending on claim volume and business needs.
As a Property and Insurance Claims Advocate, you will oversee a rotating caseload of property insurance claims from initial intake through to final resolution. Your day will involve frequent communication with both clients and insurance carriers to ensure claims are progressing smoothly and all parties are informed. You will be responsible for analyzing settlement offers, preparing strong justifications, and negotiating with adjusters to secure appropriate reimbursements for services rendered. You will evaluate insurance policies, supporting documents, and project files to ensure accuracy and completeness. Collaboration with internal project managers and estimators will be key as you develop and support claims. All claim activity and communication will be meticulously documented in our CRM system. You will be expected to meet established performance metrics related to claim resolution and quality standards, while maintaining professionalism and accuracy throughout every interaction.

- Investigate and evaluate property insurance claims, including residential and commercial properties.
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged properties to assess the extent of loss and damage.
- Interpret insurance policies to determine coverage and liability.
- Negotiate fair and equitable settlements with policyholders and their representatives.
- Document all claim-related activities, findings, and communications accurately.
- Prepare detailed claim reports for management review.
- Manage a caseload of property claims efficiently and effectively.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, appraisers, and other experts as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all state insurance regulations and company guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain clear communication with claimants throughout the claims process.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Current Washington State Adjuster's License or ability to obtain within 90 days.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in property claims adjusting.
- Strong knowledge of insurance policies, property damage assessment, and construction processes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with claims management software and standard office applications.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
