**Responsibilities**
Provide general support to the property tax department by preparing business personal property tax returns, preparing and processing tax payments, preparing exemptions, reconciling property tax accounts, managing audits as announced, communicating with taxing jurisdictions and other timely completion of all assigned work in the property tax compliance process.
+ Gather property tax data for business personal property tax filings.
+ Prepare tax returns for assigned markets within PTMS software.
+ Present completed returns to Manager for review.
+ Monitor and review all jurisdictional tax notices.
+ Review and evaluate assessments notices, taking action when valuation is too high.
+ Prepare and process tax payments on a timely basis.
+ Prepare personal property tax exemptions for each property, as needed.
+ Ensure all applicable returns/exemptions/tax bills and remittances are processed and mailed in a timely manner.
+ Prepare monthly journal entries and annual property tax accrual calculations.
+ Reconcile the property tax liability and expense accounts monthly.
+ Update internal compliance software with appropriate tax related information for each property.
+ Maintain annual tax filing calendar for renditions, tax payments and exemptions.
+ Managed assigned audits as they are announced.
+ Work with other departments throughout financial operations to maintain accurate fixed asset records.

**Requirements**
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ Accountant preferred. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed.
Education:
+ High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
**Additional Preferences**

The Property Tax Analyst will be assigned a portfolio of straightforward to moderate projects for which full property tax services are performed. Job Summary
Engages in data entry and system maintenance to support timely and accurate information within the database. Responsible for the entry of raw data and subsequent translation into valuable information to be utilized in assessing ongoing business performance and to support decision making.Job Responsibilities
Review details of documents to ensure required data for processing order/data is complete.
Establish data naming standards and consistent data definitions to improve overall data quality.
Ability to accurately and timely process data in high volumes.
Performs a wide range of support functions to assist in departmental processes
Follows clearly defined procedures to complete daily tasks and responsibilities
Uses existing procedures to solve straightforward problems without the consistent need to exercise discretion
Uses basic communication skills to address internal and/or external clients and/or team members
Individual contributor working under direct supervision with little autonomyPerforms all other duties as assigned by management
Education
High school diploma required; Bachelor’s preferred
Experience
Typically requires 0-2 years of related work experience
Escrow & Title experience is required
