The Psychological Services Provider will support the development and implementation of mental health, performance services, and programming for the National Team (NT) and National Junior Team (NJT).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide crisis intervention, mental health assessment, and referral services to NT and NJT athletes across the country.
- Provide individual and group therapy services primarily to NT, NJT, and athletes representing the U.S. at international competition delegation through remote services across the country.
- Demonstrated ability to provide treatment for athletes ranging from mental health concerns to optimization of performance.
- Provide consultation, training, and educational resources for coaches and staff while following HIPAA and ethical guidelines to facilitate the mental health and sport performance needs of athletes and teams.
- Assist in training athletes, coaches, staff, and volunteers on the mental health and sport performance policies and
- Apply and execute the mental health emergency action plans for Team USA when needed.
- Contribute to the development of an environment for USA Swimming team members and athletes that is healthy, safe, equitable, and inclusive.
- Adhere to HIPAA-compliant documentation and recordkeeping, including recording all patient athlete medical interactions and related data.
- Adhere to the Code of Ethics and credentialing requirements of the Professional State Licensing Boards in the field of practice.
- Provide patient management in accordance with licensure, scope of practice, standards of care, and functions of individual professional licensure permitted by state law. Provide referrals when necessary.
- Ability to work collaboratively while following HIPAA requirements with athletes, coaches, parents, administrative staff, physicians, volunteers, and other medical personnel.
- Obtain and maintain multi-state licensures and continuous compliance with medical and legal requirements for the states of licensure.
- Travel with USA Swimming to events throughout the year.

- Minimum 2-4 years' clinical experience working in higher education athletics, and/or with professional athletes.

- Training and/or experience working with the U.S. Center for SafeSport preferred.
- Experience with or understanding of National Governing Bodies structures, roles, objectives, and culture in relation to the Olympic movement and athlete relations.
- Completion of USADA anti-doping training is preferred.
- Ability to work long hours and be on-call as a regular part of the position.
- Regular attendance at work is an essential job function.
- Must be able to travel, both domestically and internationally, up to more than 20% of the year.

- Salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 annually.

Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide a range of clinical services to students, including assessment, individual/couples/group counseling, crisis intervention, and appropriate referral to off-campus resources.
- Fulfill administrative responsibilities in the department, including, but not limited to, staff meetings and case conferences, record keeping, agency planning, and clinical supervision of practicum staff, as appropriate.
- Consult with members of the university community about the personal and psychological well-being of students. Serve on university committees, as assigned.

The Staff clinician II is a generalist position that will provide comprehensive psychotherapy and outreach services (in person and via telehealth) to a student population within a multidisciplinary and multifaceted university counseling center. These services include but are not limited to screening/triage, crisis support and intervention, short-term/brief goal-oriented individual counseling, and group counseling services. This position may also provide supervision and training of Master level trainees.

The person in this role will provide mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and counseling-related services with the goal of helping University students establish a plan to develop positive mental health practices, set and reach personal goals, and improve their quality of life.
Essential Functions
Clinical responsibilities:
- Conducts weekly intakes
- Provides short-term individual, couple, and group counseling to students presenting with developmental, psychiatric, and academic concerns
- Provides triage coverage and crisis intervention, including occasional after-hours crisis response
- Provides case management as needed
- Provides consultation to faculty, staff, and third-party stakeholders (e.g., responding to distressed students)
- Provides wellness workshops and other educational outreach activities to the campus community (some after hours)
