Job Description
Amentum is looking for TOP SECRET-cleared Junor Intelligence Production Editor with demonstrated experience supporting CBP's National Targeting Center or similar operations. This Junior Intelligence Editor will support CBP's efforts to keep dangerous people and goods out of the United States. The Junior Intelligence Production Editor will support real-time intelligence operations by reviewing, editing, and ensuring the accuracy and clarity of critical reports and briefings. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a high-tempo operational environment, providing editorial oversight on intelligence products that inform senior leadership and decision-makers. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and expertise in editorial standards, formatting, and content dissemination.
Duties include reviewing and editing intelligence reports, situational updates, and briefings for grammar, clarity, and consistency, as well as ensuring intelligence products meet established formatting, style, and security classification guidelines. The role includes responsibility to verify accuracy and integrity of information before dissemination, maintain consistency in language, tone, and structure across reports to enhance readability and effectiveness.
The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment to support intelligence production and publication. The role features daily collaboration with analysts, watch officers, and leadership to refine content under tight deadlines, ensure timely distribution of intelligence reports to relevant stakeholders and leadership. The Production Editor role also manages version control and ensure appropriate security markings on all products.
Amentum provides analytic, consulting, and staffing support to U.S. Government national security agencies, including the Departments of Homeland Security and Defense, and similar Government clients. The Homeland Group provides a range of homeland-focused security and law enforcement intelligence support, risk analysis and modeling, and program management services to Federal, state, and local agencies. Required/Preferred:
+ At least 1 years' experience in a production support role with experience liaising with intelligence analysts, watch officers, and technical teams to improve product quality as well as providing guidance on editorial best practices and formatting requirements.
+ Bachelor's degree and at least one year of experience in editorial review, technical writing, intelligence reporting, or a related field.
+ Experience assisting in the development and refinement of reporting templates and style guides.
+ Experience supporting briefings and presentations by ensuring clarity and coherence of written materials.
+ Strong command of grammar, syntax, and editorial standards.
+ Experience working in a high-tempo, classified environment.
