World-renowned specialists at Cleveland Clinic in Florida's Department of Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine treat patients with disorders relating to the lungs, breathing and sleep. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering this exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. **A caregiver in this position works Monday - Friday from 8:00AM - 4:30PM.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
+ Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.
+ Administer medications and treatments.
+ Initiate CPR and other emergency measures as needed.
+ Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
+ Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment.
+ Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
+ Cover other nursing roles within the department.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
