The Department of Pulmonary Medicine in partnership with International Operations at Cleveland Clinic is seeking board certified/eligible Pulmonary Medicine Physicians for a Cleveland Clinic International Project. Team based care with embedded Physical Therapists, Emergency Physicians, Nurses as well as International Logistics Officers. Board certification, and eligibility for licensure in Ohio are required. EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathic medicine. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Licensure as an M.D., D.O. Board eligibility/certification in medical specialty. COMPLEXITY OF WORK: Prepared to be available at all hours based on patient/staffing need. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions within the confines of the medical staff code of conduct. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking and computer entry. Occasionally lifts/moves patients and lifts or carries items up to 25 pounds. Normal or corrected vision, hearing and speech. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. MEDICAL STAFF APPROVAL: Provides clinical knowledge, expertise, and medical consulting to patients, families, and community.

The Chair of Pulmonary Medicine will be charged with leading a nationally recognized department and contributing to the diagnosis, treatment, prevention and elimination of cancer, transformative research, and exceptional education.
The department provides Pulmonary procedural services at three (3) locations: Main Building - 4 rooms and Houston area locations - 2 rooms. In addition, the department provides Outpatient clinical services in the Cardiopulmonary Center - Main Building and two (2) HALs and Inpatient General Pulmonology and Interventional Pulmonology Consult Services in Main Building.
The Chair is responsible for providing leadership and assumes full responsibility for all areas of the department, including, but not limited to, direct patient care; basic, translational, and clinical research within the department; faculty development and evaluation; integration of educational programs; finance and budgeting; and departmental strategic planning that aligns with institutional direction. The Chair inspires professional growth by ensuring career development opportunities and mentorship for department faculty and trainees, as well as fostering a positive work environment that emphasizes collaboration, collegiality, and wellness for all. The Chair will also represent the department, division, and institution in local, regional, state, and national matters.
Qualifications
· 10 years of experience post clinical degree
· M.D. or equivalent degree
* Board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care

· Demonstration of clinical excellence and performance
